Can anyone relate to my problem??!!
Ever since having my children I have had long periods, lasting about 2 weeks. As soon as i ovulate I would spot bleed for about 10 days then my heavy period would start. Many smears, scans etc later and with everything coming back fine the gynaecologist kept pushing for the coil saying it would solve all my problems.
I was reluctant but out of desperation I got it put it, that was 7 months ago and all it has done is make my bleeding increase to 3 weeks and giving me horrendous sore boobs.
Has anyone ever had bleeding like this before and what are your thoughts on the coil? I am at my wits end and don’t know where to go next!
Do I try the pill again? Go private? Anyone any advise Sad

Have you had a coil check recently to check that the coil is still in place?

See GP, to discuss your options.

I am on my third Mirena now, it has helped my periods, which were very heavy, but it doesn’t work for everyone.

Good luck OP, I hope you find the right choice for you.

Yeah I got that about 8 weeks after it was inserted. Tbh I think all fake hormones are messing up women’s body’s and it was trying out different pills that messed up my cycle making it longer in the first place I’m sure. I honestly don’t know what to try next xx
