Have I ovulated?

OPKs due to arrive didn't arrive on time for me to start testing on CD8 (Monday) as usual (thanks Wowcher Envy) so DH picked some up yesterday in Boots for me.

I usually get a flashing smiley CD11 & fixed on CD13 however the line on the first test I did was very strong & now are becoming increasingly light? I also had EWCM Monday/Tuesday & has now dried up.

Top test - last night, CD9, 4hr hold, no flashing/fixed smiley.
Middle - this morning, CD10. No flashing/fixed smiley.
Bottom - this afternoon CD10, 4.5hr hold, no flashing/fixed smiley.

Based on the lines, is it likely I've O'd?

I've never used these opks but looking at the lines with the last one being the darkest it's likely you're gearing up to ovulate. I once got a positive opk but didn't ovulate until three days later.

I don't think you've ovulated yet. Do you temp as well?

juneybean · 17/04/2019 17:22

I'm afraid I dont understand these tests either, but you can have an earlier surge and ov doesn't happen, so I would keep testing just in case. Like I tested last week on cd9 and a line was starting but I've actually only just got my positive OPK today.

Bentley111 · 17/04/2019 17:24

@VenusStarr I was looking at the left line as the test line... in that case, hopefully we haven't missed it yet 🤞🏼
I don't temp - I am obsessed enough as it is. If we don't conceive this cycle I will start though.

Thanks so much for your help!

Oh I see what you mean @Bentley111 fingers crossed for you 🤞 sorry its probably not that helpful as I've never used them! Hope you haven't missed it.

Bentley111 · 17/04/2019 17:33

Thanks @juneybean I will keep testing.

I've done some investigating & it looks like the test line is the one closest to the arrow.

So am going to assume I've O'd this month. 🤦🏽‍♀️ We've not BD'd once. I feel like crying.

@Bentley111 don't panic. If you can dtd today I would. It would be early to have ovulated on cd 9, not unheard of but none of them look positive.

Do you usually have a short surge? I think you're still in 🤞

DH's football team are playing a quarter final so he's got his friends round this eve - chances are we won't tonight 🙈 and he's out tomorrow night too for a works thing.
He's usually the most unsociable man on the planet - it's Sod's law he's got plans the two days I really need him to be around! Will have to try to pounce in the morning if he's not too hungover.

You can't use these tests for the lines so I wouldn't trust them, Just the faces. Did you do a first test with FMU on an earlier date to get a base line? I'm wondering if these are different because they've been done at different times?

Bentley111 · 17/04/2019 17:50

@McHelenz no, I only got the tests last night as my delivery didn't arrive on Monday. So the top one was the first test I did.

I'll try to ignore the lines 🙈 I've never been interested in looking at the lines before, it's just that I had EWCM Monday/Tuesday (early for me) and now it's dried up I've started getting paranoid.

I didn't think you could read digi tests in the same way as you can the strip tests as it isn't the lines which count in the same way. Also, you can have LH surges more than once a cycle, but would only OV once, if at all, generally speaking.

The sperm meets egg plan recommends starting to DTD every other day from CD8, if you fancy looking that up?

MyDcAreMarvel · 17/04/2019 17:51

Lines are meaningless on those tests. Cd 10 is unlikely to ovulate it’s quite early. Just keep testing.

McHelenz · 17/04/2019 17:54

The advanced blue need you to use FMU and give a baseline, so you use the chart to see when you need to give a baseline test (28 days is CD8). The unit saves all your info for the cycle. Keep testing but it might be up and down this time x

Bentley111 · 18/04/2019 06:59

Flashing smiley this morning thank god 🤦🏽‍♀️

Thank you all for your help!

@NoWordForFluffy I would love to try SMEP but not sure DH is up for it unfortunately.
