Could I be pregnant?

Hi Everyone,

So last cycle I was 2 weeks late for my period and when I eventually 'came on' it only lasted 4 days and it was soooo much lighter than usual. My normal periods consist of bad cramps beforehand, heavy bleeding for 2-3days and I normally have to take ibuprofen to calm the pain. Whereas last cycle I didn't have any of that. It lasted 4 days, and the bleeding was very light pinkish/light brown bleeding.

I'm wondering whether I could be pregnant? I took one test the day after my missed period and it was negative?

When was that bleed? Only way to tell is to take another test.

@lori2019 I started bleeding 15 days after I was due on but like I said it was so much lighter than usual and only lasted around 4 days instead of 7.

When is AF due again? In all probability it was likely to be a short AF, do another pregnancy test to put your mind at rest. That's the only way to know if you're pregnant or not.

Unusual cycles can happen, if it's a one off then it's probably nothing to worry about. I've had a 35 and a 18 day in the past 6mths. If it continues that you have irregular cycles then see your GP.

@lori2019 It's due 13th May! Just wanting a BFP as starting to worry there is something wrong with me...

Let's go back a step, how long is your cycle usually as 13/5 is 28 days from now, have you just finished the 4day period?

How long have you been tracking your cycle? Have you been TTC for long?

@lori2019 okay so up until December 2018 my cycles were around 30 days long. January 2019 my cycles went to around 40 days long. They've been 40 days long ever since. My last period I came on April 2nd and finished April 6th which normally my periods last 7 days. When I bled it was very light pink and very light. No cramps or anything either. Me and my partner have been ttc for 7 months. This is month 8 now.

I would do another test or make a GP appointment if you are worried about your cycles.
