Hello everyone,

I thought I would start a new thread for those trying for their first ever baby , hopefully we get some positives soon ! Am so excited and yet so so so nervous! We decided to try last month and sure enough my period started to act strangely ( brown period ?? ) it seems as though there is a baby boom recently, everyone announcing the news and I can't help but feel impatient already ahhhhh ..hopefully I can get some buddies to share the journey with
Am 25 ( 26 in July )

Hi @dreamer2 ! I'm in the same boat as yourself. Ttc #1 and just turned 26.

I'm currently in a weird stage of not having af for 8 weeks (after pill withdrawal bleed) and having tests at the docs (after they lost my sample last week 🙄) to see if I'm actually pg. Have had faint lines but nothing more.

I think you're good to start a new thread as the other ones are huge! I'm happy to join :)

@Rosie2531 welcome :) , shame about the docs losing your samples , things like that always seem to happen when you desperately need to find out something don't they ! My periods wee so strange too when I got off the pill last year ( been using condoms ever since ) , I once had a 40 day cycle which was very odd ! I've booked a private scan to check everything is fine structurally and find out if am ovulating in May but hoping will have a positive before then ! On cycle day 9 now, period due on the 4th of May xxx

@dreamer2 A scan sounds like a great idea. I never even thought of that! I think I'll need to go down that road if things don't even out for me. I'm technically on CD 47-50 😨🤦‍♀️

Never had anything like this before. I was only on the pill for 2-3 months and hardly took it (we used pull out method for a year beforehand) always had regular af. A very confusing time!

Hopefully you will have your BFP before then though :)

I'll be 26 in 2 weeks and have been ttc for 8 months! I am 7 days late but have done 2 tests and both negative :(

@Rosie2531 yeah that would be good idea for you to do ! It's not very expensive at this place called the birth company on Harley street .but see if you can get your GP to do it first ! After doing some research I've gathered from online and many on the threads on here is that doing the blood tests is very helpful to try n figure out what's going on , especially if we are having irregular periods ! It's a good thing that you've gone to the docs already , perhaps when your period shows up you can ask for them to do the fsh and Lh test and aslo progesterone test , it's so difficult being in limbo , not knowing what your body is doing xx

@dreamer2 my cycles are normally 28-32. This is the first time my period is so late. Not sure why as I'm not stressed or anything...
I'm on CD 37 now. Think I'm gonna test again in a few mins and then again the morning xx

Me too please! Hard to join the other threads when they have so many people on them already!
I'm 27 and desperate for baby number one!
I generally keep a cool head and keep symptom spotting to a minimum but my period was 8 days late last month in an act of pure cruelty, so I'm a little eager this month and have debated wether to test or not already!
Hoping to see some positive results on here 😍

@L0205 Sorry about your negative. Test again in the morning and if it’s still BFN wait a couple of days and try again. I know how painful it is to see that single line, not a nice feeling ❤️

@L0205 am sorry it's a negative :( , it happened to me few months ago I had a really long cycle too , I would say just carry on as normal and don't test again , just keep track of your days because I know GP won't see you until you've missed your period for 3 months ! Am praying for you something happens soon so that you can have peace of mind of what's going on xxx

@L0205 I’m always gutted when my period arrives but as soon as it’s finished I get the excitement of fresh hope!
No she’s not due for another week, so we’ll see how things go for my but I’m not feeling particularly pregnant in any way, not that I know how that feels 😂
@dreamer2 Thank you for having me! It's good to have people to talk to, my friends would go mad if I spoke about TTC as much as I actually wanted to 😂❤️

So ladies I got an update!
No sign of AF yet but I have spoken with my gp and booked an apt for the 23rd to do some tests!! I told her I've taken 2 cheap preg tests and she said to use a clear blue one next week if my period still hasn't arrived... I hope it doesn't lol

How is everyone esle doing , currently on ovulation watch , am due to ovulate on sartuday so keeping an eye out for ewcm , aslo did my first ever ovulation test today , got the faintest line and according to the instructions it's a negative , will keep testing for the next few days and hopefully it gets darker xx

@dreamer2 no AF yet but yesterday I felt some rly mild cramps in the evening and then again at work today but nothing now.. just a tender right nipple lol. I also noticed I had like rubbery cm today (if that makes sense). I'm not gonna wait until next week Tuesday to test lol I'm too impatient!! so I've decided I'll keep doing eBay cheapies and then clear blue on Tuesday if my af hasn't arrived yet.
I have a feelings it's coming tho :/
What opks did you buy? I've only ever used the clear blue ones but they were too expensive so I stopped and now I just go by my calendar lol x

@L0205 So glad to know you’ll get some answers soon! I had a blood test booked last month when I was late and ended up coming on my period that morning! I was fuming of course 😂
@dreamer2 AF due for me in 5 days! I don’t have any symptoms, just sore boobs and cramps but that’s common before AF starts anyway. Why do all the symptoms have to be the same?!

I was thinking of using ovulation kits but me my partner have sex daily so never really thought I would need it? What do you reckon? ❤️

Well, on CD 55/56 I've started spotting 🙄 not sure if it's af or not. Just another level added to this emotional rollercoaster!

Hey guys! I’m TTC #1 I’m 27 and took my last microgynan on Feb 18th on honeymoon! Had withdrawal bleed then normal period end of March so my cycle lasted 28 days. Tracked signs of Ovultion with the testing kits this month, got positives on the 8th and 9th of April. Not sure when I actually ovulated cus hadn’t tracked temp. Boobs really tender for the past week, more so a tingling and heaviness that I don’t ever notice but i might be hyper aware. Also took a strange turn in work two days ago when they tested my blood sugar in work and it was low ( I’d eaten and not diabetic lol).
Period due this weekend, tested with FIrst response but BFN 😔

@Esmerelda123 When first TTC you do sort of become a symptom spotting crazed maniac 😂 And coming off the pill can really mess with your body! That being said, if you’re due on this weekend it still could be too early to pick up a positive on a test! Have my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻❤️

Hey guys ! How's everyone's weekend going , hope you've all been enjoying the sun , today is meant to be ovulation day for me and I thought I'd do some opk and I think I got positives , have a look ... am hoping that this means I'll be ovulating soon ! How is everyone feeling lately xxx
