Help with smiley face opks

I have been ttc for a while and I need some help with opks

I am using clear blue digital smiley face which pinpoint your 2 most fertile days. I have a short cycle 25 days or so.

I tested cd 10 ,11 both negative and CD12 about 6pm negative then we BD CD12 later that evening and again early morning CD13. I then did a test about 2pm and got a positive on CD13 DH is away now on CD14 so does that mean I'm out of luck this month or could I still be in with a chance

It says you will ovulate 12-36 hours after first surge but I think this could have occurred anytime between 6pm on CD12 and 2pm on CD13 so ovulation could have occurred on CD13 and I know sperm can live inside you for a bit

But bd was me on top ( sorry if tmi) and I had a bath after second one so may not have been ideal position and also washed some away Confused

So if I understood this right you dtd day before and day of smiley face and if so that’s great timing. Good to get sperm in before ovulation. No evidence that position affects conception so don’t worry about that.

Thanks Becca yes day before and day of smiley but before I knew there would be smiley ... and not since smiley

Would still say you have a good chance considering that.

If you get the smile and dtd that day or next day should be fine. Just dtd as soon as you can. Usually ovulation happens within 24 hours of static smile

I'm also using CB opks following a chemical pregnancy last month. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else: had (what I think was ov pain) on Fri 5th followed by ewcm on Mon 8th. No positive Opks though. Nothing else really for rest of the week so thought I caught my fertile time.
However, this morning CD26 I had lots of ewcm (sorry for tmi) so said I'd test out of curiosity and got a smiley face for the first time on CB OPK and an almost positive on an IC.
I know no-one can say for certain but is it likely that I've just had a late ov? Need to get on with DTD if so!!

Does sound like could be a late ov so yes would dtd if you can
