Is this worth another test?

We are TTC baby #1.
My cycles are pretty regular at 25 days, with heavy periods. I was late this month and took a test on day 28 which was negative. Sure enough, that afternoon I had a few spots of AF and concluded I was not pregnant. It’s now day 31 and all I have had is brown spotting (which is still happening 4 days later) so I am getting a little more hopeful.
However, info about implantation bleeding suggests it only lasts around 2 days and usually arrives before or at the time of a period, not late. And I have absolutely no other symptoms.
Any experience of later / longer implantation? Or is this probably just a weird period?

Tbh, sounds just like a weird period. You may have had an anovulatory cycle, which isn’t uncommon and causes symptoms like you’ve described. There is a possibility it’s unusually heavy implantation bleeding, but it doesn’t sound like it. Take another test if you wish, but try not to get your hopes up too much (easier said that done!)

Thanks crazychemist - good advice not to get hopes up but I took another test this morning and got a faint positive. I’m still quite confused by the symptoms and timing but guessing I ovulated late and so it was (long) implantation. Will ask my doctor when I get to see her.

What test did you take? I'd test again with a frer. Good luck x
