Multiple false positives ‘Freedom is Knowing’

I just my experience out on the internet for if people are search as I couldn’t find much matching it and it would have saved me a lot of stress and upset to see something like this.

False positives can definetely happen repeatedly. There’s a brand of strip pregnancy test which gave me false positives for over a month, 90% of the time I’d get a positive result.

At the beginning of March I felt uncharacteristicly dizzy and nauseas

“maybe pregnancy symptoms, no thats ridiculous, I haven’t got my period back from breastfeeding DD1 and we use condoms apart from 2 times the previous month where we used good old pull out ‘method’. I’ll do a quick pregnancy test to confirm I’m being silly.”

I bought a pack of 2 ‘Freedom is knowing’ pregnancy tests for £1 from tesco and two positives. OMG.

Told my husband and did more of those tests at least four more that week, all positive a mix of faint and clearly positive lines.
Did a couple of other brands which were more expensive and negative but then followed by more positive ‘Freedom is Knowing’.
Made a doctors appointment for the Monday after the Monday of my first positive. Negative urine test. Following Monday another negative GP ursine test. At this point I’m reading into everything, the initial ‘symptoms’ that made me get the test still come and go, and one weekend I have an insane cramp that lasts 4 hours, annoyingly pregnancy symptoms are also symptoms of being an adult woman so I should have been more sceptical.
Second negative urine test negative.
A few weeks later I get a blood test. (now it’s been 5 weeks of positive tests only this one brand, it’s like I have a pregnancy test addiction I keep occasionally trying other brands
. Also an addiction to stories of people who had false negatives/didn’t know they were pregnant until giving birth. I completely lost my mind and over analysed everything. I tried to google this brand but didn’t find much to help and I just held onto the idea that false negatives are common but false positives very rare.
Finally blood test is negative. I book a private scan for £50 as the final confirmation and that’s completely negative.

False positives can happen repeatedly. Don’t buy ‘Freedom is Knowing’ tests. I know they also sell plastic casing tests in Asda. I finally found negative reviews of the other type of test on the Asda online shopping site and it’s all people who have gone through the same as me.

I’m so grateful I wasn’t ttc and ecually wasn’t in a really bad position to get pregnant, I was able to get used to the idea quickly enough and get over the negative okay, but after 8 weeks of thinking I must be pregnant I did feel really sad and angry for it to be negative.

So just for people searching. Freedom is Knowing are useless and give constant false positives. This has been a horrible experience.

I want to complain to Tesco and see if I can get them to discontinue selling them or to give compensation for the insane time and money I invested in more tests and the scan, does anyone know how? I haven’t kept any of the receipts so guessing will be pretty impossible. Id hate for this to happen to someone who’s been struggling to conceive for a long time.
Here’s a picture of some of the positives from early on, but I stopped taking photos of the later ones. The photo is a few hours after I’d done the test but you’ll just have to believe me that it was positive within the 5 min window etc.
