Irregular periods and negative test

Hi
I’m on day 37 of my cycle now with no sign of my period and no sign of pregnancy. I tested yesterday which I believe was around 12dpo and I got a BFN.
At 12dpo, is it most likely that the result of the test was accurate and I’m not pregnant? If my period doesn’t turn up, when would you suggest testing again?
