When should I start to test?

Background - this will be my first cycle TTC.

Was on the mini-pill for just over 12 months, took my last pill on 4th March.

Just had first AF. Started on 4th April. I know that technically this is a "withdrawal bleed" but I'm confident I OVed last month - I know the signs of my body and all the signals were there. This felt more like proper AF than any bleed I've had over the past year.

Now I am going to start using OPKs but I'm not sure when to start. Prior to the pill my cycle was anywhere between 28-35 days. Was thinking of starting on CD10 but is that silly early or about the right time?

I've had children before Confused but this is my first time testing etc.

My cycles were all over the place when I came off the pill so i would start from CD10 and test in the afternoon every day until you get a positive. After a couple of months you should get more of a idea when you can expect to ovulate and maybe not test quite as early. My cycles are long and I don’t OV until days 18-20ish so I’d only start testing around day 15.
