I’m the same!! I’d be due xmas day too! I’d actually love that, what a gift! X

Comps83 · 07/04/2019 22:19

Hahhha imagine
I kind of like the idea too

Dd2 birthday 5th jan it’s rubbish for her she hates it as people forget or give her stuff left from Xmas etc she couldn’t have parties in garden etc like her sister as weather never going to be good enough! I remember so desperately wanting to be pregnant I didn’t care but in hindsight if I could go back in time I would actually avoid having a December/ January baby x

Kinsters · 08/04/2019 04:51

Aw that would be so sweet!

There's always people who say it's not a good time of year to be born but I think as a parent you can make it as special as any day. If your gorgeous baby does end up being born on x-mas day I bet you wouldn't change that for the world! Because a baby born on another day wouldn't be the same baby.

Nowthenforever2019 · 08/04/2019 05:31

I'm end of December and love it. I was due Christmas eve but came a few days after my due date.

Even if you avoided this month and feel pregnant next month, you may have your baby early and still have a December/early Jan baby (to the pp saying she would have avoided it Hmm)

FixTheBone · 08/04/2019 06:01

Flip it on its head - make christmas day all about the birthday until their a bit older and birthdays start to get a bit less exciting.

On the plus side, they'll never be in school or work on their birthday if they do a business hours job.

One major P.I.T.A is finding venues for parties or meals on the actual day.

Comps83 · 08/04/2019 18:51

At my age I wouldn’t want to put off trying for even a month

@Nevergiveup31 when do you think you will test?

OP posts:
Nevergiveup31 · 10/04/2019 12:18

Well I have bought a couple of tests, and I plan on doing one Friday am- this is because we have a wedding Friday and I feel like I’d rather know before I’m likely to have a drink, although is probably a little early! So I may just avoid any drinks just in case.

Then I’ll do another test next Friday! As then I’ll be due AF! So I’m hoping AF doesn’t arrive and I could be lucky first time but who knows!

When do you plan on testing xxx

lori2019 · 10/04/2019 12:21

I think the only due date I wouldn't be so keen on is 29/02/2020.
At this stage i'd be happy with any! Any positive tests would be fantastic!

Popskipiekin · 10/04/2019 12:26

We had been trying for a few months... came to march/April cycle and realised if it worked then it would be December birthday. We thought about skipping it but then: what if it was the one month it worked??? So we went ahead and boom: December baby Grin so happy he’s here. Yes December/Jan birthdays aren’t the best but tbh you’d find reason to quibble about the timing of many other months too. Good luck to you!

Comps83 · 10/04/2019 12:26

That’s funny as I was also thinking that personally I rather has an Xmas day birthday than a 29th Feb birthday

I think gonna test the end of next week if no AF

OP posts:
Comps83 · 10/04/2019 12:34

I was also thinking the same . Ref: this might be lucky month and might have had to wait god knows how long if we hadn’t tried this month
And TBH I didn’t think
Wasn’t until I put in the calculator that I realised it’d be anywhere near Xmas

Nevergiveup31 · 10/04/2019 12:36

I was meant to be born on 29/2! But I came 1/3! 😂

Comps83 · 10/04/2019 12:37

Phew! Lucky

lori2019 · 10/04/2019 13:28

If my cycles continued as they are & I got pregnant in June i'd have a 29th Feb due date! Can we all cross everything that I get pregnant this month or next please!! Wink

Comps83 · 10/04/2019 14:08

Fingers crossed x

OP posts:

Oh crap. If I am successful this cycle then ....

Nevergiveup31 · 12/04/2019 18:13

Yes, my first BFN 😭 o actually felt so disheartened, but still a little early to test so I’ll do another next Friday, if that’s a BFN then I’ll keep trying, it’s only my first go xxx

Comps83 · 12/04/2019 18:21

I tested too
BFN but surely it’s too early anyway ?

My DC has a January birthday and all invites to parties have been readily accepted, I’ve only ever had one or two not come - I always think it’s because everyone is skint at that point and its a free afternoon of entertainment Grin
