6 days late, BFN but I may have ovulated super late?

On the photo red circles are the dates of my last period, blue days are predicted fertile window (blue circle is ovulation), heart are days we DTD and grey circles are days my period is late (should have started on 31st).

So:

Could I have ovulated super late and got pregnant on 27th?

I’ve POAS every day since 4th and all BFN’s but if I ovulated 2 weeks late I’d be too early to test?

I’m currently on day 40 of my cycle and they’re normally 31 days, but I have absolutely no signs of AF what so ever.

We’re not actively TTC (wouldnt mind getting pregnant though so no precautions)

I’m so confused

Can anyone shed any light on what’s going on here?

With my first I ovulated late and finally got a BFP 10 days late. The best thing to do is wait a couple of days then test again. Are you ever been late before? Although you may ovulate late your period should arrive around 14 days after the late ovulation.

I’ve been a couple of days late before. My longest ever cycle was 39 days, they’re usually 31 days and I’m currently on day 42

The most worrying bit is there’s absolutely no sign at all that my period is even on the way. I’ve been a bit bloated yesterday and today and I’m tired but I haven’t got any of my normal pre-period symptoms.

I’ve taken tests every day (IC’s) and they’re all negative.

How late can you ovulate? Could I have ovulated a full 2 weeks late?

Could you try a branded test rather than IC's? I've read lots of mixed reviews about those recently x

I ovulate late and only got a BFP with all 3 of my pregnancies about 6 days after AF was due

I haven't posted before but thought I would for this. This is the same situation I'm in, 6 days late BFNs and no sign of AF. I'm pretty sure I ovulated around the 18th and had 2 days where I noticed spotting once each day just over a week ago now, maybe implantation but not sure if I should have seen a BFP by now if it was.
So I can't help really but wanted to say there's at least another person in the same boat as you.

It’s not a good time for me to be pregnant at the moment despite us wanting a baby so It’s a bit of a nervous time and I’d be sort of happy either way!

Tomorrow is 6 weeks since the start of my last period and 2 weeks since we last DTD so if I’m pregnant, I’d expect it to showing up by now surely?

I would say you ovulated late, after a few months of my cycle playing tricks on me and stressing out I just started to track my BBT. I knew exactly where i was then. Some months I did ovulate later than others. Apps only predict based on a basic algorithm.

Leave it a few days and test again x

If you ovulated late, then you’re not technically late for your period. The amount of days between your ovulation and period starting will remain the same every month, so if you ovulated 7 days later than usual then your period would be due 7 days later than normal, iyswim.

What’s the latest you can ovulate in a cycle? Could I have ovulated 2 weeks late? Or 3?

There isn't really a time frame. I have read some on here with cycles of 60+ days.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it.. I don’t know if you can ovulate as late as 2/3 weeks but I have read that we don’t always ovulate! You may not have released an egg this month! Apparently it’s quite common (especially if you’re under a lot of stress) - our bodies are so temperamental! So could be your body is skipping a month of bleeding and heading straight to the next month.

How will I know when I’m due to ovulate again?

This happened to me about a year ago. I convinced myself I was pregnant even though I get getting bfns. I wasn’t temping so didn’t know when I had ovulated. AF showed up two weeks late and I was distraught, but looking back on it I think I probably ovulated much later then what I normally do. Right now I am 14dpo (used opk this time) and am a day late but bfn, so know idea what’s happening now...

OPKs can be somewhat difficult to determine I found. You have to do them for a few days and compare. We ended up just having lots of sex. And I am convinced the day I conceived it's because I then sat with a pillow under my hips and my legs up against the wall as a joke. 😂🤣

When I was TTC this happened to me a few times (period being late) and I did completely skip a period one month but still wasn't pregnant it was so confusing! Are you usually really regular with 31 days or does it fluctuate? Saying this when I finally did fall pregnant in 2017 I tested on the Saturday and it was negative, tested again on the Wednesday and it was positive! So it could still happen...

I’m usually fairly regular, although more recently it’s fluctuated from 28 to 32 days, never more varied than that though.

Another BFN this morning and tonight so I’m calling it and saying I’m not pregnant and just waiting it out now.

I do feel bloated and a but sick but nothing tangible!

Sometimes we want things so badly we convince ourselfs of all the ‘symptoms’ or signs and in fact it’s not always related. (Hope that makes sense). I’ve looked at so many tests over time and ‘known’ I was pregnant but actually wasn’t.
I think you’ll have to wait for af to show and start with day 1 again. I used OPKs this last few months which was interesting.. really helpful working dates out but for me.. dtd everything other day after af was key! I fell pregnant after 2 months taking a much more relaxed approach.
