Do I ttc before a hen weekend

I am literally ovulating the day we arrive on a hen weekend, is it too risky to have sex the days leading up to it as there'll obviously be booze there? But if we did ttc then I wouldn't drink half as much

I would just carry on as normal until you get a positive test. If you test early then you'll find out pretty much asap and it won't be for a week or so (I believe) until the egg is implanted and until then, alcohol cannot pass to the baby.

That said, I wouldn't binge drink so much I was sick or blacking out, though I imagine you aren't planning on that anyway!

Booze won't make the slightest bit of difference before there's a placenta; if you're ovulating and your egg is fertilised during the hen weekend it's still separate from your body and not sharing anything you intake until it (a) implants a week later and (b) forms a placenta after that. You could probably take heroin on the hen weekend and be fine! (Don't.)
