Me and me partner have been trying for a year and a half with not a glimmer of hope. Until Saturday. My period was due so I took a first response - it was POSITIVE!! So I went and got a CBD and it was NEGATIVE. Im so confused and going crazy. Every morning since I've either taken a first response or a clear blue (not digital). Every first response has been positive and any other brand is negative. Has anyone experienced this and been pregnant ? My period is now 4 days late and I'm usually like clockwork so that is giving me some hope.. HELP :(

First response are much more sensitive than clear blue (digi or not) so it just means you probably don’t have enough hormone in you wee for the CB yet as it is still early days xx

Thank you I suppose that is reassuring.. think I'll try a digital again at the weekend. Just too scared to get excited yet. Period 4 days late and that has never happened so hoping I am pregnant!! Xx

I was about 5 days late with Ds1 before a clear blue was positive. Give it a day or two and try again. Fingers crossed Smile

My SIL had a confirmed pregnancy with twins and still got a BFN with a CB digital!

Oh no @Paigemorrow00 I'm so sorry. Did you see the lines getting darker on the other tests? FRER are very sensitive so I can imagine your shock and confusion. Are you having any symptoms? Xx

Paigemorrow00 · 03/04/2019 11:34

Slightly but nothing dramatic. Will try and upload a pic. Yeah my boobs are tender, a little nausea and pretty tired. Almost scared to say it out loud but I just don't feel myself :( just strange after 5 faint bfp..have been reading about chemical pregnancies. I'm so scared. So close to giving up. Xx

Don't give up @Paigemorrow00 Even if it is a chemical (I hate that word) it's a great sign to conceive and you'll be more fertile after it.

Those are definitely promising symptoms so hang on in there and test in a couple of days. Bleeding usually starts a couple of days after a negative test. Fingers crossed it won't come to that! Xx

How are you doing OP? Hope you're okay.

Paigemorrow00 · 06/04/2019 10:34

Hi. I kept testing every morning with first response, the lines got lighter and lighter until they were negatives. Then AF came. I think it was a chemical pregnancy because I knew I was pregnant.. I just knew. I'm heartbroken. Xx

I'm so sorry Sad I hope you have plenty of support around you?

Paigemorrow00 · 06/04/2019 11:53

Yes my partner is great, I took a few days off work. Thank you for asking ❤️ I'm due at the doctors on Tuesday to start looking into why I haven't been getting pregnant, when I saw the positive pregnancy test a weight was lifted off my shoulders and I was so glad we wouldn't have to do all that. But I suppose we are back to square one. Xx

I'm so sorry to hear that. It really messes with your head to get the excitement of a positive test and then see it fade. You're likely to be more fertile after a chemical pregnancy so it might not take too long to fall pregnant again. Just try and stay as positive as you can. Good luck with the doctor too. As you've been trying for over a year you should now get some support. Good luck! xx

Thank you @catconfusion. Ive been reading that, I hope it's true for me. Fingers crossed, I don't know how much longer I can wait lol. Xx
