4 days late but negative pregnancy test?

I feel convinced I'm pregnant as my partner and I had sex within 24 hours of ovulation and now I'm late.
My cycles are relatively short but pretty regular, give or take a day. I'm now 4 days late for my period but have taken 3 pregnancy tests which have all been negative.
Could this just be a coincidence and just randomly late this month despite the timings. Has anyone else had similar happen and then got a positive?

Are you temp'ing or taking cervical mucus or anything like that? Even with regular cycles, it is possible to ovulate later on occasion. Mother Nature gifted me a 45 day cycle last time around, whereas I'm normally 32-33. Was absolutely not pregnant (which I knew because my temperature didn't rise), I just ovulated ten days later than normal.

If in doubt, get a FRER. If you're late and pregnant, it will show up on that.

I've been charting with Natural Cycles using temperature and LH tests so according to that it says I ovulated.

@LaLune85 I was late this month and didn't get a faint BFP until 4 days late. I also knew I had ovulated because I use Natural Cycles. Unfortunately I started bleeding a couple of days after my BFP and now it's a BFN so I sadly had a chemical pregnancy. I would advise to wait another week before doing a test.

I took three tests when I was four days late, all negative. I then waited a few more days before testing again and am currently expecting my first DS in four weeks time 😊
Try again in a few days, fingers crossed for you!

What tests are you using. I've had blazing positives on FRER for 3 days now but still BFN on ICs

Hi @LaLune85. I know exactly how you feel. I'm not 8 days late and all one step tests I've done are BFN. Got period type pains, pelvic pain, a pulling sensation downstairs (sorry tmi) feel full and I'm beyond knackered. Are your symptoms getting stronger?x

I’ve used FRER, clear blue early detection & also Asda own brand. I’m buying more today - Asda ones again as I’ve spent a fortune so far! I’ll take another one tomorrow & if it’s BFN I’ll give up for this month x

I've used clear blue, first response and a some really cheap strips all BFN. I've also read if you are too hydrated this can dilute the hcg in urine, and I always drink loads of water so my urine is always super pale, so wondering if that could be an issue?

@Gothqueen I have dull cramping come on this morning and a very small amount of blood this morning, so thought I was about to get my period but nothing since earlier. Have also felt knackered for over a week now.

Hi I'm 5 days late. I had a BFP yesterday evening but this morning BFN, not sure what to think of it all.

@LaLune could it be implantation maybe? You have exactly what I have. I had a niggle yesterday about the one step tests I've been using so I relented and bought a CB. Tested last night and got a bfp! Tested again this morning and it's there as clear as day! I have eveything crossed for you that you get your bfp in the next day or so but steer clear of one step. Been giving me false negatives for goodness knows how long! xx

Period came on yesterday, Not sure why so late compared to usual but the tests were right. Sad

I'm 4 days late and have had BFN though we're not trying. I just know that we had sex when I was fertile and I have been having issues with my IUD. Hate the waiting around lol

Hi,
Just following this post as I am in a similar position. We've been TTC since December. I'm now 4 days late for period, awful cramping but no signs of AF! I've now done 2 tests both of which were negative. I'm going to see how it goes and maybe test again if it's been a week and still no period. I'm sure it's just wishful thinking and AF will arrive.
