Ovulation Moodiness

I OVed somewhere around 3/22-3/24 (I am assuming). Well...I had a nice romantic weekend with my OH, and I found myself being unusually moody. Very, very, very moody.

I have read this is normal. But, wondering if it's a good thing, a bad thing, or neither. I read that if you don't get pregnant, those good hormones go away and the bad hormones can take over. But, then I have also read that OV can be a very emotional time either way. Anyone have any experience with this?

I hope I didn't ruin our relationship, but it was a very touchy weekend...lots of silence, lots of tension. And I will admit most of it was my fault. I have never noticed being extraordinarily moody around OV time, until this weekend, I was an outright bear.
