@MrsEG I'm also wanting AF to hurry up this month as it means I can call up the nurse to book my tests - it's been a year TTC now for us no joy, just 5-7 week cycles and horrific acne! I'm on CD 41, hopefully this won't be a mega cycle

MrsEG · 13/04/2019 10:15

@Fivebyfive2 I’m so sorry you had to go through this too! I have had one AF, 5 weeks after the D&C. We didn’t try this month though (emotionally didn’t feel ready yet) so waiting for my next AF now and then cracking on again - I think ‘craziness’ is right, ordered an Ava bracelet, got my pregnacare, booked in for some acupuncture and have been exercising and healthy food prepping like mad! I’m sure so much of it is psychological but anything to make me feel we’re giving it our very best shot!

Very best of luck to you this cycle!

MrsEG · 13/04/2019 10:16

@daisiesandpeonies So sorry to hear that - I hope the doctors are able to help out and you get that BFP really soon. TTC can feel so totally hopeless at times x

orangeloo · 13/04/2019 10:18

@MrsEG sorry to hear that Thanks glad we can be here for you you do come back though.

@Jessikka yaaay haha congrats on your ewcm

@Lemurville hello and welcome!

I've got a family wedding today, can't be arsed and can't be arsed with the 'so when are you having kids' question ugh. Wish me luck. Have a good Saturday all x

Fivebyfive2 · 13/04/2019 10:46

@MrsEG, yep definitely alot of it is in my head I think! When af arrived we decided to go for it right away (after she'd cleared up!) as we tend to over think things. I was worried if we left it, we'd keep talking ourselves out of trying again. How do you get on with the pregacare tablets? They intimidate me a bit because they seem massive!! I'm just on folic with vit d from Holland and B, but have thought about upping my vitamin game?? Started opks today, not expecting any faces (I use cb as not good with squinting!) for a few days but just in case the fw comes early!! Dh is apparently excited to be dtd A Lot this cycle but we'll see how long that lasts... Hopefully he won't feel too pressured.

@orangeloo, good luck at the wedding! Camp out by the food, that'd be my plan! Xxx

MrsEG · 13/04/2019 11:18

@Fivebyfive2 I find Pregnacare fine - they are massive but coated so easy to swallow! I fell pregnant with them the last time too, so just trying to stick with what I know - plus it’s handy it has all the vitamins in one shot! Yep, my DH is exactly the same, keeps asking if I have my period yet as he wants to get on with it haha! You just have to try and enjoy it and not apply too much pressure - I tend to let DH know early on when I think the fertile week will be and then he starts doing his countdown haha!

cupcakesandglitter · 13/04/2019 11:23

Oh @MrsEG I'm so sorry to hear that 😩 fx AF turns up for you soon and you both get to DTD again xx

Lottiepink · 13/04/2019 13:18

@ValidUser sorry I don't see anything, have you done another today?

@MrsEG so sorry to hear that, hope you are ok. How much was the Ava if you don't mind me asking?

How's everyone today?

I'm 10dpo and symptom spotting like crazy, but had so many weird ones since ov. I'm just getting my hopes up so much and really trying not to. I keep getting the bad cramps as if af is coming, then they go again and come back. I keep going to the loo to check 🙈🤣

I tested on an ic this morning BFN.

Tropicana1 · 13/04/2019 13:43

Hi ladies 👋🏻

Joining you all in the TTC madness if that's ok!

Currently just doing my OPKs waiting for a positive. Had to have a lengthy conversation with my husband today who was, his words, planning to "save up" until I got a positive opk with no sex before 😂😂
I was like, erm, no no, not how it works.
Think we're on the same page now haha

MrsEG · 13/04/2019 14:10

@Lottiepink I paid £149 just for the bracelet - it means I then have to pay £14 a month for the app too but it was much cheaper than going for the lifetime membership option! I’ll let everyone know my thoughts when it arrives!

Try not to over analyse your symptoms - when I did conceive I didn’t feel any different at all and all the symptoms came from the BFP onwards. You’ll only end up torturing yourself! I’ll keep everything crossed for you though, only a few more days now to wait x

ValidUser · 13/04/2019 14:14

@MrsEG I'm so sorry for your loss. X

Actually, please ignore that test. Have checked my data and I'm actually only 8dpo today. Will test next week.

I've got thrush and my boobs would normally be sore at this point in my cycle and they're not this month. So I've still got hope!

MrsEG · 13/04/2019 14:24

@ValidUser Thank you lovely. Stay happy and hopeful! From personal experience if you can hold off til at least 12DPO it takes all the guess work and squinting out of it! Just a few more days to go :) x

dahlia123 · 13/04/2019 14:58

Hi @MrsEG, hello from a new joiner. Sorry for your loss. Fingers crossed for a BFP for you soon.

I'm just about over a month into using my Ava and although I thought I'd ovulated (I use clear blue digital), Ava said I hadn't and to keep trying. That prompted me to look for EWCM when I wasn't expecting it to be there - and there it was.

So seems like I'm ovulating later then expected, or at least this month my body geared up for it and I'm still waiting for it.

Either way, I probably wouldn't have noticed without the bracelet and it's back to pestering my partner when I'd probably have given him a rest 😝

dahlia123 · 13/04/2019 15:02

Hello @Tropicana1 - sounds like you had to give your husband a proper lesson!

Tropicana1 · 13/04/2019 15:20

@dahlia123
It was a real lesson 😂 at least he now knows all about the lifespan of sperm and eggs haha!

Question - after DTD do many of you put your legs up in the air / stay lying down? It's all really odd doing things so differently now we're TTC!

ValidUser · 13/04/2019 16:00

You're so right @MrsEG. I'll try to hold out!

@Tropicana1 I stay lying down. I used to put my legs up, but in the process of doing so I think I dislodged some swimmers. 😂

Lottiepink · 13/04/2019 16:04

@MrsEG yes please do thanks!
I know I need to pack it in 🤣 totally not like me, I'm normally cool as a cucumber ha!

Tropicana1 · 13/04/2019 16:31

@ValidUser I had this exact issue today 😂 tried to manoeuvre my legs up and encountered all sorts of problems haha. May just stick to lying down

MrsEG · 13/04/2019 16:46

@dahlia123 Thanks for sharing that! I’ve heard similar reviews so really looking forward to using mine now. I figure I’ve spent a small fortune on OPKs and FRERs at this point what’s another hundred quid!!

@Tropicana1 I don’t bother with the legs in the air but I do try and lay flat for 15 mins - there’s so much evidence to say it barely matters and that those good swimmers get right up there right away, but still!! I like to feel I’m doing something to help them along!

@Lottiepink It’s so hard not to symptom spot, you can drive yourself crazy! Me and some friends who have kids were talking about TTC recently, saying wouldn’t it be nice if after DTD you found out in 48 hours if it had worked or not. 2 weeks is just cruel!!

MrsEG · 13/04/2019 16:50

Just to add some stats as I’m fairly new again here after a few months off!

Age 33
TTC #1
Cycle - 1st after MMC, but trying since last July
MC in October at 6 weeks and MMC in Feb at 10 weeks.

We’re giving TTC the old fashioned way one more shot and if we don’t have some good news by July we’re going to look in to some private fertility testing. But FX it isn’t needed and we get our happy ending soon :)

smitch82 · 13/04/2019 19:34

Hi all, just noticed you guys taking about Ava. I got mine for £229 as got £20 off it. I don't pay per month for the app, and it is now monitoring my stats for pregnancy. I definitely think it is worth the investment. I have a discount code if anyone wants it for £20 off xx

thosethreewords · 13/04/2019 19:42

Hello lovelies! Sorry I've been quiet, I'm away at the moment and back tomorrow!

So... AF still not here (only due today though) and I've had cramps, back ache, and weirdly all day nausea (and I'm definitely not imagining it)... 🤞for mon/tues when I test!

MrsH497 · 13/04/2019 19:48

Hi @MrsEG hope you're doing ok

Sorry I've been quiet ladies just been a trying couple of weeks. Both of us had norovirus which definitely isn't going to help the TTC process we've only managed to BD once in what appears to be "fertile" period oh well it only takes once! X

Tropicana1 · 13/04/2019 20:23

@thosethreewords god you've got such good self control waiting to test I'd be POAS like a maniac I think!

Lola871 · 13/04/2019 22:18

Fingers crossed for you @thosethreewords!!
