@smitch82 congrats I also honeymooned in Mexico a year ago this may x

@thosethreewords thank you x

smitch82 · 07/04/2019 18:05

Thanks all. As requested did another test and got another BFP! Finally think DH believes it 😂😂

Bacchant · 07/04/2019 18:17

@Fivebyfive2 yay for Af! (Can’t believe I’m saying that on a ttc thread!) also those cheesecakes looks amazing! I might have to give them a go, it’s such a creative idea!

@thosethreewords I know how you feel, it’s so frustrating to be in the tww. I often want to fast forward through it, but at the same time I don’t want to be wishing my life a way. I’ve been trying to practice mindfulness and being ‘present and in the moment”, but it’s tough when I just want to find out if this month has been a success or not!

@lemonysherbert seeing your post just make me check if I’m going to be okay for my holiday later in the year! We’re going on a cruise in the. Caribbean and Disneyland Florida in September! The cdc seems to say it’s safe in Florida, but we’re going to be going to some of the islands off the cost. We pay the final balance in July so maybe if I am PG by then we might just cancel it if the risk is took high!

thosethreewords · 07/04/2019 18:35

@Bacchant I think I might try mindfulness and meditation - that can be my goal for next week. Thanks for the tip and for understanding!!

rose555 · 07/04/2019 20:54

Big congratulations @smitch82 ! Such wonderful news.

To all those in the 2WW - I’m with you. Now on CD28 either 11 or 12 DPO. AF due Tuesday. DH and I went away for the weekend with some friends - 3 other couples. Two of the other girls are already midway through pregnancies. On our first night, the one remaining girl who I thought I could enjoy a glass of wine (or two) with, announced she is also pregnant!! I was happy for her, but I found it tough to keep my face from giving me away. I just felt like such an odd one out. I had a tiny cry in the shower on Saturday morning and then pulled myself together.

Now back home and wondering if I am imagining things but I’ve had very gentle cramping / dull ache in my uterus area for the past 3 days. Most noticeable today. I fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon and have quite noticeable backache in my lower back this evening. I tested Friday and Saturday mornings and both were BFNs, but now starting to wonder if something might be happening.... or if a particularly strong AF is on her way....!?

Hope everyone’s Sundays are going well.

AysLon · 07/04/2019 21:13

@rose555 my fingers are crossed for you. Let's hope AF doesn't show.

Pinksunset1 · 08/04/2019 00:22

@starkid thanks x

FlapJackered · 08/04/2019 08:06

So soy Isoflavones are having the same effect as last time. Getting very emotional and anxious about the tiniest things, but as this happened last time and that ended in a bfp I am going to suck it up!

@smitch82 wow! Congratulations! You must be fairly far along for 2-3 weeks (or having twins 😂) you must be so happy 🎉🎉

@cupcakesandglitter its so hard isn't it. I am finding it such a struggle to keep trying now. If this cycle doesn't pan out I am going to go to a private consultant. I just can't stop thinking it will take another year to get another bfp which I am not sure I can handle!
AF did come back! Helpfully while I was in the middle of a walk and could do nothing about it. 😩

@KatBeCool are your temps still up? Keeping everything crossed!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@rose555 that is tough with all your friends being pregnant. Hopefully that is a sign that you will get your bfp this cycle too! 🤞🏻

Go @Pinksunset1 !!! That is positive! Get Dtding! 🐎

@ValidUser good luck! I so hope it works first time for you!

@Fivebyfive2 that's great AF has turned up for you and you are on a normal cycle! Fingers crossed for both of us this cycle.
Oh my god those cheesecakes look incredible! They are making me salivate at 8am 😂

AysLon · 08/04/2019 08:14

Guys I have been moaning for the past 9 days about having seen only a flashing smiley face but this morning, with the last stick of the pack, day bloody 10, I saw a peak smiley face! Littke victories. I beat the pack! When I had given up hope of seeing one.

smitch82 · 08/04/2019 09:14

@FlapJackered I am so scared of twins! They don't run in the family so I should be fine. DH wants that, get them both done for efficiency 😂

I know how hard it is seeing friends get pregnant. All my friends have had children really early and I am the latest as didn't meet my DH till I was 32. I am meeting up with my friend who just announced she is pregnant on Saturday. It is going to be hard not to say but I know it is best not too!

Wishing you all lots of baby dust xx

MotherOfShihTzus · 08/04/2019 09:29

@FlapJackered do you rate soy isoflavones? I've started looking into it and think I'll try next cycle... what mg do you get and what dude do you take? I see a lot of variants across the fora!

FlapJackered · 08/04/2019 10:15

@MotherOfShihTzus I got my bfp the first time using them after a year of ttc and I am sure it was because of them. I got much stronger lines on opks too. I do think I have a problem with not producing enough oestrogen though as I ovulate quite late so I think that is why they worked for me.
I bought the Natures Aid ones from Amazon (50mg) and I take them from day 3-7 before bed. Day 1-100mg, Day 2-150mg, Day 3 - 150mg, Day 4 - 200mg, Day 5 - 200mg.

Pinksunset1 · 08/04/2019 10:39

@flapjackered thanks keep you posted x

Jessikka · 08/04/2019 10:51

Morning all,

Feel free to tell me I'm ridiculous; but it helps me feel I have some control over this whole ttc thing.

I'm thinking ahead.... but do you happen to know if you are both sent for fertility tests is it with a GP? or is it a referal somewhere else?

The reason I ask is OH and I are in separate doctors - I'm thinking maybe we should move to the same one if it makes things easier?

P.s yes, im thinking too far ahead into eventualities that may not happen. But it can't hurt can it 🙈🤯

MotherOfShihTzus · 08/04/2019 10:53

Thank you @FlapJackered - I think I'll try next cycle! Currently on cycle 14 ttc1, never had a positive before. Awaiting the call from the fertility clinic but could still be months off, so I might as well as try some new things in the interim! 8DPO this cycle, and no symptoms to date except creamy cm which is unusual for me, but I've had 'unusual for me' symptoms in previous months and still nothing, so I'm not holding my breath! Best of luck on your journey :)

MotherOfShihTzus · 08/04/2019 10:58

Hi @Jessikka , so I'm in that situation at the moment. We both separately spoke to our drs, at diff surgeries - though I went to his appointment with him. 1st step for me was 21 day bloods, and 1st step for him was a semen sample. Both sets of drs have referred us to fertility clinic, so I'm guessing it's whoever is contacted first... I was reg first so should be me. In wales, where we are, I was told it would likely be st least a 6 month wait... 2 months into that wait now.

I would both join the same drs surgery if you can. We complete on our house house next week and as soon as we see in, will reg together at the same surgery - didn't seem worth it initially, knowing we'd be moving soon anyway! How this helps x

Jessikka · 08/04/2019 11:01

Thanks @MotherOfShihTzus

I'm only on cycle 4 so I may sound ridiculous as it's not been that long really but I was just thinking ahead.

Thanks for the advice, we've been thinking about moving to the same one anyway and this is what made me think we should probably just go ahead and do it just incase it helps in the long run. Also, I'm in wales too so that is handy to know! thank you :) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

FlapJackered · 08/04/2019 11:10

@Jessikka the first blood tests they did were just at the GPs for us. Although sperm analysis was at a separate clinic. GP won't do any more tests for us until we hit 2 years of trying though so I think we will go private next month if no joy! How long have you been ttc now?

@MotherOfShihTzus that is good you have got the ball rolling on the fertility clinic. Did you get referred from the GP? Our gp won't refer us until we have been trying for 2 years which is so long. And I am worried my miscarriage will put us back on that too. 😕 so I think we may have to go privately.
Symptoms are so misleading aren't they! I swear I have had every symptom under the sun before AFs but before my bfp I had very few really.

Jessikka · 08/04/2019 11:14

@FlapJackered only cycle 4 so a while to go until I hit a year - I'm just watching Gavin and Stacey and they're discussing it on an episode and it made me think ahead 🙈

MotherOfShihTzus · 08/04/2019 11:27

@FlapJackered so sorry to hear of your MC - it's such a tough process. I would speak to your GP again, as all the guidance, everywhere, says to go after 12 months if you're younger than 35, and 6 months if 35 or older. I'm 33, OH is 37- we got referred straight away on demonstrating how long we've been trying, and that we are on the vitamins, using opks etc. Incidentally, as I'm worried about my age and we know there are sperm issues, I'm considering going private so not to waste anymore time. Speak to the drs - demand to be referred. Have you had 21 day bloods: dementia analysis at least?

MotherOfShihTzus · 08/04/2019 11:28

@FlapJackered woah... posted too soon; semen analysis - not dementia - autocorrect!

Jessikka · 08/04/2019 12:46

@smitch82 I'd love twins.

My brother and sister are twins and my mum has an aunt who had 9 kids - with 3 sets of twins. 2 x BOY/ GIRL 1x GIRL / GIRL. And 3 singular babies. Crazy!

So definitely runs in my family 😳

Jessikka · 08/04/2019 12:46

@smitch82 sorry I pressed to soon.

I forgot to say Congratulations 💕💕 x

smitch82 · 08/04/2019 13:57

@Jessikka thanks! It is really likely for you then! We have no twins in the family at all so it is not going to happen for us!

thosethreewords · 08/04/2019 14:11

@rose555 what a weekend you've had! Must have been so hard to not feel disheartened over the weekend, well done you - I hope to be more like you! Any new symptoms?

I was woken in the night by severe cramping in my right lower abdomen. I usually have intermittent left sided pain as I have endometriosis, but this is really unusual for me! 6-7DPO today. I doubt it's anything but obviously I'm hoping!

@FlapJackered FX for you about the isoflavones!!

@AysLon Yes for static smiley!! I was walking on air the day I got my positive OPK this cycle! We have to have these small victories I think to keep us going

@smitch82 Still so over the moon for you ❤️

@MotherOfShihTzus I feel like every cycle I get new symptoms too... it's frustrating!
