Ovulation vs anovulatory cycle

5 months ago I was told I wasn't ovulating, I wasn't even having periods (maybe twice a year) I was told if I lost a certain amount of weight I could have clomid, I'm 9 lbs away from that goal, I'm 1lb off loosing 2 stone! I chart bbt, monitor my cm and do the ovulation strips, last month I had a 165 day cycle in total but one day I noticed ewcm, the next day I did an ovulation test which was positive for the first time ever! But I read somewhere I could get the surge without releasing an egg? That month I got my A.F. on the exact day predicted which again I've never done before!

I'm on cd14 right now, today's ov test seemed slightly darker but might just be my eyes! I'm just wondering if I can get all the signs and symptoms of ovulation but still not ovulate and what are the chances I've kick started ovulation with weight loss?

I'm 32 and have been trying for #1 for 4 years after a miscarriage/blighted ovum which was found at 7 weeks

You most definitely could have kick started ovulation by losing weight. If your period came within 14 days of your ovulation I would say you ovulated! Definitely give it a go this month if you can.

You can also get the signs and symptoms of ovulation and not ovulate but I don't think your period would come within 14 days.

Are you tracking your bbt? That should definitely confirm whether you've ovulated or not - if your temperature goes up then you're ovulating!

Hi, yes I track bbt I have added photos of last cycle and this one, as you can see on my last cycle I gave up mid way but as soon as I saw ewcm I started again and there's a clear rise from previous temps

Oo yeah, definitely looks like you ovulated last cycle. Fingers crossed for this one too!
