Anyone else get this? Out of whack cycles

Just wondering if this happens to anyone else. My periods are pretty regular 28-30 days usually. But as seems to be the case for a lot of people we started ttc and things have gone a little haywire! One thing I have noticed is if I have a late period one month, the next month seems to come early (almost like the date it would have been due if my period wasn’t late on my last cycle). So last month I had a 32 day cycle and this month 25 (and I’m almost certain I know I ov’d on day 14-15 like usual). Anyone else experienced this? Im hoping now it levels back out to 28-30 days

Hi Orange Duck, my cycles are out of usual routine now (used to be 28 days regularly and now often a bit shorter) - which is so frustrating when you are TTC (I feel your pain). I did extended breastfeeding (until my DD was 2) and desperate to conceive no2 as it took us 3 years to conceive and not sure if my periods are still normalising after giving up breastfeeding 4 months ago but also wondering if it could be a hormonal imbalance. Do you have other symptoms or just differing cycle length?

Hi, it is very frustrating and confusing - feels like my body is playing tricks on me Envy. I have wondered about a hormone imbalance. I do struggle with my skin which seems to be linked to my cycle/hormonal but other than that no other symptoms. Do you have any other symptoms? If things don’t even out again i might make an apt with the GP. Keeping fingers crossed for regular cycles for us both.

I know exactly how you feel re body playing tricks - I often get “pregnancy symptoms” in lead up to period (nausea, tiredness, breast soreness, twinges in uterus area...) as a result I think of how my body responds to changing hormone levels at that time. I do get hormonal acne around jaw line and seem to be ovulating really early at the moment (8-10day into cycle) and recently found a couple of hairs on my chin....joy....(which I have never had before). Think I am going to get some blood tests done. I have been reading about hormone imbalance - the natural fertility website is quite interesting. I’m not saying you have a hormone imbalance - it may well just settle down as it doesn’t sound like it’s been going on that long for you. I hope it does settle soon - I totally get how frustrating it is!
