TTC second baby no luck

I have been trying with my partner for our second child for about 15 months now. No luck at all. Not for lack of trying just nothing has happened so far. We're starting to get a bit worried. Haven't been to the doctor yet but I previously had a c section and wondered whether this would affect anything? I've also had a previous miscarriage before my first baby came along would this be any sign of a problem?
I know you're not doctors but just looking for some advice

It wouldn't do any harm to mention to your gp.

I'm on cycle 4 after a miscarriage. Feels like I'm getting nowhere.

We ttc (not serious but if it happened) for 14 months before that. I had a laparoscopy to remove cysts and was pregnant within 6 weeks.

I do think I have another cyst so have an appointment with gp and hopefully referred for a scan.

Forgot to add that when they did the laparoscopy they found I had adhesions from the csection from my first

Thanks for the reply! Oh I hope it happens for you soon Thanks will have to mention it to the Gp then if there's still nothing in the next few months x

Thank you. We're starting this month using SMEP. Today is cd8 so 🤞

Following this post with interest, I’m in the same situation trying for baby number 2 for just over a year, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s something to do with me having a c section. Have your periods been regular since having your first baby OP? Mine are varying in length from 27-35 days usually but have been 48 days on a couple of occasions 😩

darlingtwinklebum · 18/03/2019 19:06

Mine have been irregular too Hmm it's just really odd how we can have one baby and now struggle with the second? I did read up slightly on secondary infertility but didn't get too far into it because I didn't want to worry
Have you heard of that?

I have read some but then stopped as it scared me. I would go to the GP but I know they will tell me to lose weight. Which I know I definitely need to do, but I am lighter than when I conceived my daughter so my weight wasn’t an issue then.

Waves

No luck conceiving number two here either. We haven't used any contraception since first baby, but I was breastfeeding. Baby is now 3 yrs * sighs

My DH is on some medication now and it does affect his sex drive and his ur hmmm delivery of the required product Wink So there is not way we can do it every night. So we try to do 3 days not in a row over fertile time but it's a bit of a guess. I have tracked ovulation with Clearblue for a couple of months, but that pressure made things worse. Plus ovulation on totally different days both months. So it's tricky to know when to try.

DP was very we were relaxed trying for number one and it happened quickly. But how we feel the pressure, increasing age gap, I'm nearly 40 now, I feel knackered all the time.

Cycle 13 here trying for #2 and nothing has been happening either. I went to have a scan because of painful periods and been told I've got a cyst on my left ovary. Makes sense as that side aches during ovulation sometimes.

Theyve said plenty of women get pregnant with a cyst and to keep trying for another few months before any other testing.

Just have such a terrible sinking feeling every month seeing negative tests/AF its hard not to be stressed or over analysing. Getting tired.

darlingtwinklebum · 19/03/2019 00:23

Hope it happens for you all soon Thanks it's hard not to worry and stress over it.. I mean how hard can it be to get pregnant for gods sake!
Managed easily enough the first time round.
If there are no baby related signs soon I'm definitely booking in with the Gp to make sure nothings wrong. So frustrating!
