Trying for a very longed for baby any help, advice, tips and buddies would be very much appreciated.
Anyone else feeling like it's the loneliest time ever (we haven't told any one we're trying)

I found it really, really hard and the TWW drove me insane. My advice is to TRY not to symptom spot and try to stay off Google (because, really, it will just drive you insane). Also - and you may do this already - but I was always jumping to the worst case scenario, like OK so I'm not pregnant this month which means I'm definitely infertile and we'll have to do IVF and then that might not work... You may be better than me at that but I think it's really important to take each month as it comes and remember that it is TOTALLY normal to take a while to get pregnant. Also, I like temperature charting as it reassured me my cycles were OK so it might be worth doing this. All the other tracking (CM, OPKs etc) sent me a bit nuts too.

Good luck though, it is so, so likely to happen for you and when it does, you'll wonder why you ever worried. xxx

Im with you there! Been ttc for a while and still negative. We also havent told anyone we are trying which i think is best as i guess you would get people asking you constantly if you are pregnant! But i come on here to chat which helps =)

Luckylola12 · 12/03/2019 08:46

BaweB you have just described me! Can i ask what the temperature check is? Ive been doing ovulation checks but they are just getting me down as they always say negative!

MrsB899 · 12/03/2019 08:57

@BaweB you have described me to a T I constantly think what if I can't have any children, how would I cope with that. I've tried OPKs but find them quite difficult to read and even when I did have a positive I think what if it's negative and I'm reading it wrong. God I must be the most negative person ever Grin I'm so excited to get pregnant and I can't share that with anyone other than my husband because the last thing we need is added pressure from family and friends. Thanks so much for your advice xx

@MrsB899 @luckylola12 I used to chart my basal body temperature to avoid getting pregnant. Essentially, after you ovulate it goes up by approx .5F and this confirms ovulation. I used the Natural Cycles app which gives you a thermometer and tracks your temperature every day that you enter it. It is only really suitable for those who have a regular sleep routine and you’d need to google it to get all the how to details but there’s loads of info out there. I’d highly recommend it because I ovulate between day 11-16 in a regular 28 day cycle. The other advice I had, which I think was helpful was that if your cycle is regular then you’re probably ovulating and you could go low tech and have sex every other day from approx day 6 to day 18 (based on a 28 day cycle) and then you don’t have to stress. Also to have sex every other day rather than every day, that’s what my doc friend told me and it worked!

What else?! I never had much cervical mucus and that stressed me out big time and my husband’s sperm count was only so-so. Essentially, just keep going and it will happen!

Xxx

@BaweB I work nights 3 nights a week so temping is no good. I'm gonna try the digital clear blue OPKs next month and see how that goes. I'm taking pre pregnancy vitamins and my cycle is 28 days so fingers crossed it should be easy to pin point. I don't want the stress and pressure of TTC I'd love to just be able to relax and enjoying trying but I'm already stressing and overthinking 😆 x

Have you tried or asked your doctor about CoQ10 or ubiquinol or other natural supplements?

MrsB899 · 14/03/2019 21:26
