Amount of sex to have after solid smiley face

Hello.
I had a solid smiley face when I tested at 9.45pm last night. I took a test at about 5.45-5.50pm and it was still flashy smiley face, so the peak happened within that 4 hour time frame. We BD at midnight, so 2 hours 15 minutes after that solid smiley face, so we have BD’d since then. We have issues with BD’d now, but how many days do we have before ovulation or have I actually ovulated now? How often should we BD and for how long? We have BD every day since my first flashy smiley face Tuesday last week, but today is a problem. We will try tonight but it depends on my Husband’s work- he is on call tonight and is currently out on a job so tonight may be out of the question. Will we be covered if we waited until tomorrow night? Ava moves ovulation to yesterday but today I am back to low fertility.

I think you're covered hun - ovulation is usually 12-36 hours after LH surge but it also takes sperm around 10 hours to go through a process called capacitation before it is mature enough to fertilise an egg.

Also It's a bad idea to BD every night as it decreases the quality of sperm - doctors recommend every other night x

Thank you. I know every night is not the best but this is our first month TTC for baby number one and as we are still getting used to the cycles we just thought we would give it a go this month to see what happens.

I am hoping we can tonight (my Husband is still at work so it depends when he is home), tomorrow morning is not good as I leave home early on a Friday, so if we don’t tonight it will be tomorrow night now. I would be happy if we can get one tonight and one tomorrow night, then calm it down after that.

We both agree every night is a lot. I have been reading the Sperm Meets Egg method tonight (I have seen it before but it came up somewhere today so looked in to it). We don’t expect to get pregnant as it is the first month. If we do that’s fantastic, but if not I might suggest that to my Husband. I have mentioned it before but couldn’t remember it properly to explain

I had a lot of success with sperm meets egg plan in conjunction with clearblue digital ovulation kits and have fallen pregnant 6 times that way (only 1 successful full term pregnancy though )
Also there is "it starts with an egg" which is useful in terms of what supplements to take x

I have heard of “It Starts With an Egg”, I will have a look at that. Thank you.

I never used the ovulation tests (I was very lucky and never had problems) but I knew that my ovulate day was around day 13 as my cycles was to the day.. so from around day 10/11 to around day 18 we would literally be at it (in The end he started to moan his balls were hurting😂). I caught within the first month with first and two months with second..

Sperm can live in the woman's body for several days too 😊
