Best cheap tests? (Student help!)

So I'm very new to the world or pregnancy and tests and everything but there's a strong possibility I'm pregnant (12 DPO)

I'm having some big symptoms and desperate to test again tomorrow morning after a faint line today but don't know which tests to get. Being honest I'm a university student so many of the "best" tests seem so expensive and am weary of ones from poundland etc. Which ones would people recommend or have had good experiences with (especially testing early)? I have a Tesco, Boots, Poundland and everything near by. Thank you! X

The poundland/home bargains ones are perfectly reliable. You can also buy them for pence on Ebay or Amazon.

I got two superdrug tests and they were both faulty so avoid those!!

Ooh I've heard that about the superdrug ones as well I think, not good! Will have to get a poundland one, wondering if it is worth investing on some Frist Response ones from Amazon or not (for £7.59) for a pack of 2? x

If you're 12 dpo you don't need a first response, any old test will tell you if you're pregnant tomorrow.

Went and bought some of the Poundland stick ones 😬 Hoping they will be the ones! X

UPDATE: So bought two of the poundland ones and neither worked! Like nothing can up ☹️ Used my cheap Tesco strip and there's a line there slightlyyy darker than the day before but who knows what I can trust because it's so faint! Gutted. X

You can go to your gp for a test

I bought mine online from access diagnostics (think I saw it on mumsnet actually!). They’re called all test & are the same type a gp would use. You can get 25 tests for just over £3 so can afford to go crazy testing if you wanted to. They also do ovulation tests too.
I used their ovulation tests which resulted in pregnancy both times as well as using them to avoid pregnancy between having my son & daughter.
Their pregnancy tests showed up positive 11dpo so nice and early
Am now planning on using their ovulation stick to avoid pregnancy!
