Positive result with cheap test strips then negative with FR/CB

Hi,

I tested yesterday with cheap ‘freedom’ test strips and both showed faint, but coloured positive results.

Tested this morning with FR and CB and nothing. I can vaguely make something out (if I squint really hard) but that could just be my eyes playing tricks.

Really not sure why I would have two positive readings (same sample at around 5pm last night) and then two negatives when levels should be highest.

Very unsure about what’s going on. Having sickness, headaches etc.

I’m also unsure of my last af as was previously on the mini pill and didn’t have ‘proper’ ones. Missed a few pills and was also on antibiotics, hence stopping pill and testing due to symptoms.

Any advice appreciated.

Can definitely see two coloured lines. Been feeling sick all day but FR was negative.

We’re in same boat Rosie! Even down to not knowing where we are due to mini pill .
I tested with cb but nothing, I bought some cheaper ones off eBay . Took one last night and nothing. Or so I thought, decided to extract it from bin today and thought I could see something. So did another and there is deffo a very very faint line

Thanks for looking. I'm honestly so confused. Will need to just wait and see. I think after a while they can show a clear evaporation line, but this happened right away on both.

We hadn't planned a baby just now but now both gutted if it isn't.

Unsure why two would show positive and then a negative?

Maybe I just bought a dodgy batch! 😂

The ones that showed a line for me were the early detection ones , soooo.....
I’m going test again either Sunday or Monday

Maybe your wee was dilute. FMU can be a bit of a myth if you drink or pee lots in the night.

I've been going frequently and not very much, so could be dilute. I'll wait a week and test again if I still don't have af.

Tried another one tonight at the same time as last night and negative. Potentially a very, very faint line but could be my eyes.

I always test better with second morning urine for some reason. Here was my bfp with freedom strip 2 days ago and a frer I did later that same day. You can see the freedom bfp is much more obvious than frer.

That's exactly what mine looked like! I took another freedom this morning and can definitely see another faint, but pink, line!

Strange how such a cheap test is showing but the others aren't. Maybe I just have a very low volume of the hormone just now?

I’m wondering whether to take another this afternoon around the same time that I got my faint line yday or if I’m just getting obsessed now and should stop wasting money on tests

I'm definitely a bit obsessed which doesn't help my stress levels. I'm going to wait for a few days and then try. Maybe do the same? Do you have any symptoms?

Basically just no AF . Sore boobs but that’s not out of ordinary
Mainly that random faint pink line yday!
One more when I get home
Then I’m done!

Hm, could well be an early indicator. I'd wait till tomorrow morning maybe as morning is supposed to be best?

I've read a few articles on the science behind home tests. Colour can only be activated by the pregnancy hormone, so any indication of colour (pink or blue depending on the test) is an indication of pregnancy.

By the way I just took a clear blue and said
Pregnant 1-2 weeks. Last period jan 28th.
The lines are real faint but I'm definitely pregnant. Good luck the rest of you xx

Congratulations! That's great news!

Maybe they are - I can defo see lines so will treat it as such until the more expensive ones show. Will wait a week and try the frer again.

All I know is that I'm having the worst tension headaches and nausea which is very unlike me! 😂
