Help with dates please?

Hi there,

I could really use some help with dates! I came on 7th/8th feb. Had a similey face on ClearBlue OPK on Saturday 23rd Feb in the evening and following day. My cycles are usually 28 days but have been known to be late by a week. Because I ovulated late into my cycle, will my period come later therefore doing a pregnancy test now would be too early?

Thank you!

The luteal phase (from ovulation to period) is usually 14 days, so a late ovulation means a late period. I think I would wait at least 10 days from ovulation/sex before I took a test.

Thank you, so late ovulation would essential cause a late period?

Yes, I think so.

Agreed late ov =late af. But did you actually ov late?? If you ov on the 24th, but your cycle started on the 8th - that's cd 12?? Which would likely give you a 27 day cycle this time??

wannabebump · 06/03/2019 17:34

@physicskate is the 8th to the 24th not going to make it CD17 for ovulation rather than CD12? That would be late ov therefore late AF as well?

Sorry. You're right!! I'm an idiot!! I swear I can do maths (and used to teach it!!)!! Ignore my musings!!
