First time trying to conceive!

We started trying feb.10th - I took my first test last weekend (2 weeks after) got a negative, took another this morning (3 weeks now) another negative, (I had a small period for 2 1/2 days ago that ended the day before yesterday) I keep reading different times you should test, is it possible I’m testing too early? This was not my regular period, a little shorter, lighter, and very sticky ((like bloody mucous (sorry if that’s TMI)) but I read that meant my estrogen levels were abnormally high? I’m thinking maybe I should take wait another week? Any advice?

Do you know what day you ovulated?

Is that using an app?

I have the flo app and according to that I ovulated 3 days earlier than I actually did.

I used cb opk this month.

Test with a first morning urine and good luck

What I meant to add was the bleeding you had a few days ago might have been implantation therefore maybe leave a couple of days before testing as wouldn't show up so quickly on a test

Were you on birth control before you started trying? Sometimes that can mess up your cycle so you won't know where you are.

If you ovulated between 9-13th Feb you would be showing a positive on a test by now. That bleeding was almost certainly your period. The good news is you'll soon be ovulating again so refocus yourself on this cycle.

@michellebops no I used an ovulation test checker online, but I keep hearing about those! I tested again this morning and still a negative, think I may just wait another week and test again just to be sure and if another bfn then I know I am not. I have no idea what to think about the bleeding though, I started spotting yesterday, but it’s already stopped. Thank you for your input!

@kinsters I have been on birth control before but not here recently. (Probably about 6-7 years ago.) My cycle seems pretty regular but right? This is all so new to me!

@keepforgettingmyusername that’s what I was thinking too, I just want to be sure I’ve cut back tremendously on my caffeine, I’m eating healthier foods and drinking lots of juice, taking my prenatal vitamins, & have begin to do yoga but I have a bad habit of smoking.. but that is very true! I know when it is the right time, it will come to be!
