37, TTC after EMCS

Hello,
Just looking for some advice and reassurance if anyone has experience of something similar please! Bit of background info...
I had my first DC in 2014 via EMCS, 10 days overdue. Baby born 9lb 2oz, healthy and no issues. Reason for the EMCS was a very long and arduous labour, finally reached 9cm but baby wouldn't move and was becoming distressed so was whisked off to theatre. DD now 5 and lovely.
We'd really love another DC but I'm cautious and apprehensive about going through it all again and end up with another EMCS. I'm 37 and husband 53. He's fit and active and a great dad. His age does worry me though. Another fear is that i may have problems conceiving as I've read many places that after 35 fertility can decline for women.
I found the labour and delivery of my DD traumatic and if I'm honest I'm terrified of a repeat!!
Sorry this is a bit disjointed, I'm basically typing as I think!
Thank you

Hey,
Following. I'm 36 and my partner nearly 53 and we are TTC no 2. We have one who is 4.5yrs.

I'm feeling a bit worried. I had a pretty awful pregnancy 1st time due to HG so thinking of another is daunting but wanted.

It's worrying about my age, no1 was an accident so I don't know how long it can take to conceive. I can see that I'm going to get miserable pretty quickly if it doesn't work.

It's later than I wanted to wait for no 2 but my mom was diagnosed with dementia 2 years ago and died suddenly 1 year ago and I just didn't have enough in me to be sorting out her affairs, working full time and having another, but now I'm terrified I have left it too late xxx

@susan82 - Thanks - better to have gone when she did than dwindle away into a shell of a person who didn't know who we were.

Looking forward to lots of people coming forward in their late 30's with positive stories!

Xxx
