Sorry BFN I meant for this morning !

JadeSB · 23/03/2019 11:28

@agteacht well apparently I've just peaked again so ovulation due in next 24 hours, so who knows what's going on, only 9days until AF though, so hopefully enough time to work it's magic 🤷🏼‍♀️

agteacht · 23/03/2019 12:28

Oh no @Kinsella82 that's so confusing!! So two BFPs and one BFN? Was it a FRER?

@JadeSB how strange! So it can happen twice?!
Hmm maybe your AF will be late so as 9 days isn't very long..

I am now 4dpo...

OP posts:
JadeSB · 23/03/2019 13:11

@agteacht apparently so. I doubt it'll be late, I usually ovulate (just the once) late in my cycles and generally only have 9 days until AF I think that's probably why I'm struggling to get a bfp because my bodies not giving the egg enough time to implant 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️

agteacht · 23/03/2019 14:25

Oh I see @JadeSB
Have you tried any supplements to help lengthen? I have read about Angus Castus and B6. Mixed reviews sometimes but maybe worth looking up...

OP posts:
JadeSB · 23/03/2019 14:32

@agteacht i didn't realise you could take anything to length cycles 🤔 mine are 30-31 days so already quite long

agteacht · 23/03/2019 15:48

Well I have been taking a few things @JadeSB but problem is I can't say for sure what's helped.
I am taking medication for high prolactin but this month I also took soy inflavones which apparently are like Clomid and help you to ovulate. I don't know which one did it but I ovulated on day 16 when the last few cycles it has been CD25, CD30 and CD23. I think it was the soy. I took it day 2-5.

Angus castus and B6 are meant to help lengthen your luteal phase specifically. My issue was the pre-ovulation phase, whatever that's called.

I'm not an expert on all this so I don't want to advise anyone! But assuming that AF (or a BFP!) come 14 days after ovulation then my cycle this month will be 30 days rather than up to 44-46, which would be amazing. I'll continue to take the soy until I get to a BFP or give up because 46 day cycles means only 8 chances a yeast.

@agteacht ooo interesting! Well thanks for the info! 👌🏼

Kinsella82 · 24/03/2019 02:54

Yep @agteacht two bfp and one bfn. All on IC. My head is wrecked. But I got really positive opks yesterday and today so I'm either pregnant and the opks picking that up or I'm Ov?! And the bfp?! God only knows!!!! I'm gone totally baffled.

Ps are you Irish with a user name like that??

agteacht · 24/03/2019 11:41

Oh god that is confusing @Kinsella82 !!
I wouldn't know what to make if it

Yes I am! Guessing you are too? Although I'm living in London

OP posts:
HeartvsHead · 26/03/2019 20:09

@Kinsella82 any update or still playing the waiting game?

How's everyone else doing?

Kinsella82 · 26/03/2019 20:47

@agteacht yes I'm living in Ireland :)

@HeartvsHead thanks for asking - no more bfps so I'm taking the positive opks as opks and going from that so I'm now 3-4 dpo. I honestly don't know what happened with that test but maybe a dud?! Because no af has turned up either.
Feel so stupid that I got my hopes up but I'm feeling positive again now.

Lauraliverpool · 26/03/2019 21:17

Hi everyone hope you are ok, I've had a reassurance scan two weeks ago which showed a gestational sac and yolk sac so they brought me back two weeks later which was last Friday they could see the baby which measured at 2.9mm and they said it should be 14mm going by my last period which I'm certain was 23rd January, got peak on 3rd Feb and positive test on 19th Feb, my husband spoke to his friends sister who's a high up doctor in Leeds and she said it's more likely I'm 6 weeks and those measurements match up. Had a horrible experience with the nurse who did my scan and for the past few days has made me feel quite down and scared, rescan next wed I'm praying to God the baby has grown and caught up. I'm so scared girls. A lovely midwife got in touch with me as she'd seen a question id asked on what's called maternity assist and I told her about my experience and she took it to the shift leader at the epau and texted me to say I'll be seen by a different nurse next wed.

agteacht · 26/03/2019 22:41

Oh @Lauraliverpool I'm so sorry to read this and the stress you are going through right now

Hopefully your friend is right and you can forget about the shit experiences you have had

Thank god for the nurse who helped you!!
Stay strong and keep hope 💕

OP posts:
Lauraliverpool · 26/03/2019 23:49

@agteacht it's been really stressful, I'm really hoping so, do you think it's possible? Cause I know people who ovulate late etc. I'm doing everything possible to stay strong, I'm so grateful to the midwife who helped me. X

agteacht · 26/03/2019 23:57

I think anything's possible you just can't predict these things and there will be loads of stories out there of people who had similar issues and all turned out fine. The really horrible thing is not knowing and you and your DH being left hanging, there is nothing to say to make that any easier. But think as positive as you can xxxxxx

Doris19 · 27/03/2019 06:22

Hi @Lauraliverpool so sorry to read your message. My heart goes out to you after what must have been a horrible experience and a stressful few days.

As @agteacht says, these things are not an exact science. It's great that you've been taken seriously by your friend and the midwife assist service.

When is your next scan? Today, or a week today?

Thinking of you xxxx

Lauraliverpool · 27/03/2019 08:59

It is the not knowing, trying to be as positive as I can, going over everything in my head all the time. Xxx

Lauraliverpool · 27/03/2019 09:00

@Doris19 it was a horrible experience with that woman last Friday, I'm doing my best to block her out of my mind. Next scan is a week today. Xxx

HeartvsHead · 27/03/2019 20:29

@Lauraliverpool so sorry to hear this. It must be nerve wracking waiting to find out what's going on for sure. Big hugs and fingers crossed for you.

I think some midwives that forget that although you are just another person on their list this is everything to you. Thankfully the majority are great.

Lauraliverpool · 27/03/2019 21:07

@HeartvsHead it is nerve wracking and keep crying and thinking about everything doing all I can to be positive.
I definitely think that particular nurse doesn't have any sense of empathy, like you say majority of them are great. Xx

agteacht · 28/03/2019 07:47

Ladies just posted this but think I might have finally got a BFP...

9dpo at max. Not going to get too excited just yet. But maybe, just maybe. X
