Hi all, I’m two weeks post an ERPC for a MMC and the only way I can function is by pouring all of my energy into TTC again. Prior to my miscarriage I was using the Natural Cycles app and taking my temperature everyday to try and track ovulation. Not convinced I really know what my cycle is but eventually it worked/we DTD every other day and got lucky! I know my hormones are all over the place currently and I’m still testing positive on pregnancy tests so HCG is still high, but when things settle I wondered if you all might be able to suggest tracking apps etc that you think are particularly good?

Thanks in advance. X

Hi, didn't want to read and run.

I had a mmc in October 2018.
Had the surgery to complete the pregnancy and just wanted to get back into ttc ASAP.

I stopped bleeding after a couple of days and we started trying.

I got positive tests into late November and vended up at gps as I was in pain and told them I was pregnant again.

I ended up going for blood tests for beta hcg every 2 days for 3 weeks. Was definitely not pregnant again.

Af made an appearance 9.5 weeks after the mmc.

Started properly ttc at New Years and now on 3 cycle. Jan flo was 5 days late and feb was 4 days early so even now cycle is still off. I ovulated yesterday at cd14.

I use flo app but it's not reliable. A friend uses ovia and got her bfp on first month.

Sorry for your loss, it's one of the hardest things I've ever experienced.
Be kind to yourself and take care xx

@michellebops thank you SO MUCH for replying and I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve gone through it too. It’s maddening the whole situation - I’m so sad and I’m angry at being robbed of time that I could have been TTC whilst my body sorts itself out and my cycles return. I’m sad about the baby I lost and the plans I’d already started to make - when I’d go on maternity leave and who would host family Christmas this year. Silly I know.

I saw a Chinese acupuncturist today who’s helped me before with other stuff. He said that I need a few months to heal my mind as well as my body before I start TTC again and I guess he’s right but I’m worried about my age and don’t want to waste more time. I’m so sorry to hear about the pregnancy test - that’s almost doubly cruel. It’s been two weeks since my ERPC and I tested positive today. Going to try again at the end of the week and see how I get on.

Thanks for the tips re the app. I’ll check out Ovia. Best of luck to you. Xxx

Thank you.

Yes it's tough, not going to lie. Your body needs time to recover physically as well as emotionally. I didn't understand that, I just wanted to be pregnant again ASAP.

I'm with you completely, I'm 42 soon so time is running out for us.

I also got some reflexology done which helped and a course of massages which has helped me.

I should be approximately 32 weeks and finding it easier to cope with others happy news.

Mind you it's getting closer to my due date.

Hoping for a positive before then xxx
