OPK confusion

Hi I'm using the cb digital opks with the flashing then static smiley
Last month I got 4 days of flashing smiley, 2 of which had ewcm, from testing in the morning and evening. No peak.
I'm on day 3 of flashing smiley from the am test. Got some ewcm today so did an afternoon test at 6.30pm. Still no peak.
Does peak fertility link to ewcm or am I just confused?
(For context, am on cycle 11 ttc. One bfp which ended in mc in Dec. Before mc, I just tracked symptoms such as ewcm, but I would like to get another bfp as soon as I can)
