Hi Ladies
I recently found out I contracted an STD from my partner. It was a huge shock even though we had already broken up because I found out he had been unfaithful (which is why I got tested). I've never had an STD before hence the shock. I estimate that I had the STD 2 weeks before receiving treatment.
My period is 4 days late. The nurses told me the STD would not have affected my periods and told me that it wouldn't have stopped me from ovulating. I'm wanting to understand how it's possible to potentially fall pregnant whilst simultaneously having an infection. I'm sad because if I have fallen pregnant there's a chance my baby would grow with the infection.
Additionally, does anybody know if there's a topic thread on here specifically for questions about STDs? I tried to find one but couldn't find it.
