Could this pain & spotting be implantation?

Cycle day 29 or a relatively regular 30 day cycle. Had positive ovulation test on days 16 & 17. Friday night started getting a pain in one side (not normal for me in the run up to AF) continued into Saturday with some very very light spotting when I wiped. All day I've had sore cramps like period pains and more light spotting. Normally I get period pains and wham AF is here straight away.
I'm clutching at straws as had BFNs since Friday too.

Hi hun just wanted to let you know I’m going through the same thing not sure if what I’m having is implantation or not. What colour is the bleeding you’re getting and how much are you having? X

RLOU30 · 17/02/2019 22:06

Well you would get the BFP after implantion so the fact your having negatives doesn’t necessarily mean you are not going to become pregnant. As for the bleeding, my doctor once told me that Implantion bleeding is quite rare & if the blood is anywhere near enough to want to need to change a pad it’s definitely not.

Good luck x

Yesterday and this morning I'd say it was a light brown colour and ever so slightly pink this evening.

RLOU it's nowhere near enough to even wear a pad. Literally a slight amount when I wipe. That's good to know about implantation and BFP - I totally hadn't twigged. Tbh I assumed it would be too late for implantation til I started doing some research today. Ttc for 1st time so still learning something new all the time.

From what you say it is possible to be implantation bleeding the colour and amount sounds typical of it. It takes roughly 48+ hours after implantion for hcg to become detectable so test in a couple of days.
I only know all of this from when I was trying to conceive DS and I clutched at a lot of straws too Grin i

AF came with a bang this morning so as predicted I was clutching at straws!

Oh no hun well good luck for next month this is a fresh opportunity for you and at least you know what is happening now ❤️

I still have no idea what’s going on but I assume it’s an early miscarriage I’ve been having positive tests now for 4 days but been spotting since yesterday morning x

WombatStewForTea · 18/02/2019 07:32

Oh rubbish. Fingers crossed for you Amelia x

Just jumping on here for a chat and support. I'm currently 9DPO, 2nd month tcc. AF would be due on Saturday,
I had light cramping yesterday (8dpo) and very light brown when wiping, today again very light brown/pink when wiping and cramps are a little stronger, they feel very low down. I usually cramp strongly the day before and first day of AF.
Just wondering whether to take a cheeky test tomorrow morning Smile

Ooh good luck Katy! Let us know how you get on if you do!

Will do, I got a FRER two pack this morning but think I'll leave it til the morning so i can use first wee of the day. I'm just really keeping an eye on the spotting as it is more than yesterday but not red, but then again when I found out I was pregnant with my first child five years ago, I was nearly six weeks gone, I'd somehow missed the first missed AF, presumably I'd mistaken implantation bleeding for AF last time and never tested til over a month later when AF properly didn't arrive
