3 day period?

TTC baby number 1
Age 29
Cycle 6

I know any time up to a year TTC is perfectly normal without needing to seek fertility checks, but I guess lots of people begin to doubt their bodies before that time.

I had been using the pill/ implant for 11 years, before then my period lasted around 4 or 5 days. Since having my implant removed in August, my cycle has varied between 24 days and 27 days. My bleeding has lasted around 3 days - but this has usually been 1 day medium bleeding and 2 days light. This time round I only had one day medium bleeding, a light second day and spotting today...

I guess I'm trying to decide if I should get to the doctors for an early check, or if I'm over worrying and others have similar cycle.

Hi hun :) some months I have had a three day period and other months it has been a five day period instead. For me I think it’s just one of those things x

Thanks...
I know it seems daft to worry. It's just nice to have a bit of reassurance sometimes X

Oh I know what you mean I’ve been worrying and googling for all sorts today TTC has driven me mad haha x

By all means ask your GP if it’s a problem but I had all kind of doubts over my fertility and there was nothing wrong (I had lots of tests!) it just took time.

My periods are very light and pretty frequent (24 days is normal). I’m perfectly able to conceive and have 3 lovely children.

Mine are similar since coming off the pill; I did ask a consultant about it once and he said it shouldn’t be a problem. I have conceived twice though both have ended in MC, but as others have said lots of people manage to have successful pregnancies with short/light periods so I wouldn’t worry. Main thing is that you’re ovulating (and dtd at the right time obviously!). Good luck.

Since the second month after coming off the pill my periods have been 1 day heavy, two days light. Seems to be my normal x
