How much for clomid privately?

Having had my consultant put back again and starting to absolutely lose the will to live and really struggling with infertility, I’m thinking of going private for clomid. Has anyone done this and how much does it cost? Also, does this include 21 day tests etc or is that on top? Were you able to get 6 month prescription straight away? For background I have diagnosed PCOS, been on metformin for 6 months and do not ovulate at all. DH has had all SA and is absolutely clear. I am 100% the problem. Please help? Blush

You can order it from online GP services. You have an online appointment and then they send you a private prescription

I had clomid from my GP.

Our local private clinic does one months worth and 4 scans for £200.
I only know this because I too was wondering a couple of days ago and looked it up Smile

So apparently my GP can’t prescribe it, needs to be prescribed by a consultant in this area (although he agrees that’s what I need), and I’d be far too wary to order online. Thanks @torthe I did some similar research last night for my area - cheapest seems £400 per cycle including monitoring, most expensive was £550, neither include initial consultation costs...

I would just harass your GP if the consultant wait is that long. Maybe check your CCG policies on infertility. I did have some tests privately later and these were £400 alone and still resulted in clomid on NHS.

I'm in exactly the same situation as you Dino. I have pcos been ttc and dont ov regularly. Nhs process is so long that I too want to go private. I had my diagnosis about 15 years ago so cant take any more tests for them to say 'yup you have pcos' grr!

I read recently that a lady got a private gynae app and was prescribed it for 4 months. She had to pay for the initial consultation and the meds. Worth a try? I'm looking for gynae consultants that dont require a gp referral. X
