Hi ladies, so I’m currently ttc #1, have been since I came off the pill in July 2017. My cycles started off longish, 39-43 days, then in November 2018 I ‘skipped’ 1-2 periods (76 days between) and since then my cycle has been 28-33 days long. It seems like my body ‘reset’ itself and now I’m on an ‘average’ cycle length. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Has anyone got ideas on what is going on!?
Thanks!!! x

Hiya

I have no idea why it happens but I’m the same. I came off the pill about four years ago and my periods were always a bit all over the place. It’s only been the last 18 months that I have been keeping track and they vary from 35 to 70 odd days which is very annoying! I have noticed a pattern and it’s usually the months that I have been stressed have been longer so now trying not to get stressed and they are averaging at around 40 days at present.

That’s very interesting that you’ve linked the longer cycles with stress, I will have to look back and try and see if the pattern is true for me too! Thank you very much for responding! x

This happened me too, my cycles only semi regulated after around 18 months off the pill. Now that I can pinpoint ovulation it is much easier, for me it depends on which side I ovulate from. One side definitely takes a bit longer than the other!
