SMEP cycle question

Hi lovelies
I’m planning on doing the SMEP this month however it says to start of cycle day 8- my period is actually 8 days long so my first clear day is CD9.
So what happens if I can’t start on CD8 like it says as I need to feel 100% clean and nothing left of AF but really want to try this method.

So first is if i follow SMEP and 2nd is if I follow it but a day later which looks more of a better chance to me??

I personally found SMEP exhausting as did dh! Are you using OPK's and another app aswell as flo?
I would just dtd every other day during the fertile days and she how that goes xx

Yes I have glow app also but that gives me different dates- I’ve used flo the longest so think that would predict better.
Yes using opk’s also.
We know it’s going to be tiring but have said that we will commit to it for 2 months and see how we get on- if nothing happens then we can just go back to relaxed bd’ing. X
