TTC - how early can i take a test?

Hi all! So heres the story so far....
Came off the pill (microgicon) september 2018 after being on it for 10 years.
1st period was 3 months later.
2nd period 5 weeks later.
Today should be 3rd period as its 5 weeks today.
Is it too early to take a test?

I'd be tempted to take a test if you have an IC, then buy a dearer one if you've a hint of a line Smilex
