Sorry for the long post but want to give as much background as possible. Also I'm new to this so please bare with me.

So, I came off the pill 6months ago but didn't actively start trying to concieve until last month. Have been using an app to track periods for last 3 month's and have each time been a 35 day cycle.
This month according to the app ovulation date should have been 31st Jan. We did the deed a few times around this date. Next due date for period should be 14th Feb. Unexpectedly 7th Feb light bleeding only on wiping (sorry if too much info), then 2 days of bright red blood enough to use tampax but still alot lighter than normal heavy period which usually lasts 4 days. Then 1 day of nothing and then again today very very light bleeding on wiping again. No other symptoms - but after reading (and I know I shouldn't) google I thoight poss implantation bleeding but then again I'm not sure as the days were definitely red not pink / Brown as implantation bleeding suggests. I have taken an early response pregnancy test which has come back negative, but could it have been took early to show up ???
Im so confused because after putting the bleeding info into tracking app it changed my ovulation date to 25th Jan and we also did the deed the 24th. The app has now changed my next period due date to the 14th March. Do i wait until then to see if I then miss that period ? Or try another test after this month's 14th when my original period should have been due ??
Please help xx

Really wish I could help but think I'm as new as you are!

Are your periods normally always regular? Could be implantion! Wait a bit then test again?

Soda123x · 11/02/2019 22:17

Yes normally regular 4 days quite heavy bleeding after 35 days. I think I'm going to take it as a negative for now but poss do another test in another week just incase ? And if anymore bleeding keep it tracked in the app and then speak to doctor if things dont sort themself out Xx

In my opinion, I don't think tracking 3 cycles is enough really to establish that you have a regular 35-day cycle. Even if it is settling into 35 days there's always going to be some variation, so it's not necessarily strange that you might have ovulated 'early'. So I wouldn't put much stock in the app's previous prediction of the 14th.

If you actually needed a tampon for 2 days if there were 2 days of red flow that's a period for these purposes rather than implantation bleeding or breakthrough bleeding, so I'd be inclined to agree with the app's current prediction. Test later this month if you like though! Sometimes you just have to POAS.

Thank you.
Sorry I'm new to this though. What does POAS mean ? Xx

Pee on a stick. You can do that at any point. I'm inclined to agree with @RyvitaBrevis. Cycles can become weird and whacky when you first start ttc. Apps are only as good as the data you give them - they aren't plugged into your body.

Sorry, there's no need to take up precious brain space learning Mumsnet acronyms but it's too late for me Grin
