I have a regular 27 day cycle, I had muy period 5th June and was expecting my next one on 2nd July but it still hasnt came. I tryed Clearblue Digital this morning and it came up with ''Not Pregnant'' which has really confused me because I've never had a late period before. Could it just be I havn't got enough HCG yet? Any thoughts would be appreciated, sorry for the SA thanks

hi starz I had my last period 3rd June so was expecting next one 29th/30th of June. Tested with cheapies 3 and 2 days before AF was due v faint line, CBD gave me a pregnant. I love them as theres no staring for a line. I do know they are pretty sensitive. They say wait 3 days and test again if no AF. Personally I would do another one first thing tomorrow if AF hasn't turned up.

I had a false positive with CBD so I think they can be too sensitive someties. No idea how it happened, I had a blood test to check it and my hormone levels were normal non-pregnant so I don't know what it was reacting to.

Hi Starz. Like Sweetkitty, I had a very faint positive with cheapie 'uber sensitive' sticks 2 days before af was due, and got a positive with CBD the next day, which came up within a minute. So they do seem to be able to detect a pregnancy before af is due. Only thing I can suggest is waiting a couple more days, and if you still get a negative, go see your doc.

periods can go bonkers all of a sudden even when they've been fabulous for years!
My doctor has 3 patients who always show negative on preggers tests until at least 4 months. They are not related either which makes it more weird to think how rare that must be yet they all live in the same area.

nappyaddict · 09/07/2007 14:39

how does that work?i thought after 12 weeks hcg levels dropped so you get a negative again.

suezee · 09/07/2007 14:47

i would wait a few more days if ur having a neg result at the moment, hcg levels are establishing themselves in the first few days so can be ver weak at first. If it still say neg in a few days got to ur gp and see if he will check your hcg levels through a blood test...hope this helps )
