Hey guys,

Just introducing myself as a newbie. 30, OH is 23, first time for both of us. Was in a 5 yr relationship previously with someone who didn’t wanna try at all. I have PCOS which affects some things, but my cycle seems to be 28 bang in. Been TTC for 5 months, nothing as yet. AF arrived 2 days ago, gutted because I was 4 days late and ready to get a BFP, but no, my body decides to be a cow bag and trick me.

I have tried OPK’s but got no positives, calendars, BBT and (sorry it’s gross) mucous checking. Nothing seems to give me a definitive ‘yes you’ve ovulated’ sign.

Gonna continue for another month to two then get myself to the GP. I have a friend at work who has been TTC for 7 years and I cannot go through that!

Don’t give up!! I have two daughters and am currently trying to convince #3.. I always thought it would be so quick the first time round! Late 20’s and no worries-it took 8months to conceive dd1.. I honestly felt like it was never going to happen.
I worked with a lady who spent 2/3 years trying... docs told them there was nothing medically wrong, they were just unlucky.. it wasn’t until the stopped trying for a baby, bought a house and started having some fun (no stress) that they were successful.
With my second I told DH that after my period I would wait a week and we would bed every other day-I fell pregnant second cycle..
Not sure the docs will see you about it until you’ve reached a year with no luck..
I can appreciate having PCOS makes things harder but that’s why I went with the every other day.
