Hi Folks,

Need some advise, I'm 25 and have had 2 Contraceptive implants (1st - 3 Years) & (2nd - 1 Year). Before I had them I was never lucky enough to have regular periods, So i'm guessing its pretty much going to be the same when I have my Implant taken out in 4 days time. My Husband and I are trying for a baby as soon as it's out but he's got his hopes up that its going to happen straight away. Can anyone advise how long it took to conceive after the implant was taken out? any tips or tricks for helping the process would be very much appreciated. ♥ Smile

No tips or tricks but I conceived 5 months after mine came out

Try it for a year and after that have some fertility tests done. Never having had regular periods could mean that you might need some extra help in that department. Or not, you might just get pregnant. Just keep it in mind.

I got mines out August 18 and conceived March 18. However we didn't start trying properly October to let my cycles get back on track. So realistically 6 months ish. Now sitting with my 9 week old Smile

Sorry to jump on your post but I'm also interested to know how long it took for others as I'm currently on cycle 5 after having mine out end of September last year but I did have 3 implants so a total of 9 years so a bit of a different situation but fingers crossed for you that it happens nice and quick

Thanks everyone for the advice.

Don't know why I just presumed It would be instant thing, no one ever warned me it may take a few months after. Doesn't help that I'm baby mad at the moment, its the only thing I think about throughout the day!

Waitingforbaby2 Thank you lovely, Fingers crossed for you too!
