What could cause this brown discharge?

Hi - hoping someone could help, been TTC since beginning of year, and last month at about 6 DPO I got a very heavy brown discharge for about 2 days, then nothing for 6 days till my period started. I was hoping it was an implantation bleed but got my period so no such luck. This cycle I am currently 5 DPO and had the same thing this morning, only this time not as heavy and has stopped by this evening. Any suggestions as to what this could be? I'm now getting worried that there is something wrong with me, which is why we haven't conceived yet

Sometimes endometriosis can do that. but don't freak out! You can still get pregnant!!
I'd go to a family planning clinic and speak to a doctor there about that because they'l have more experience in that department than a gp and usually more time to spend with you!

helenlouisey ((hugs)) i just wanted to mention i had the exact same thing a couple of cycles ago, (i also thought it was implantation bleeding)

I mentioned it to my infertility consultant and he said "yes thats quite common in my patients, its a sign of hormonal imbalance"

Sorry thats probaly not much consulation to you (it could ofcourse be something else) but its worth getting it checked out, especially if you are experiencing irregular cycles at all
