Have I missed ovulation??

According to my app I was due to ovulate yesterday. I did multiple tests in the run u too yday and had little to no line appear on the tests. I did a test at about 4pm yesterday which showed a faint line (top test on the photo). I have just done another test expecting to see a much darker line this time and instead I can see a barely there faint line (bottom test on photo). Could I have some how missed ovulation?

Yes I see what you mean did you take just the one test yesterday? What cycle day was it?

MyDcAreMarvel · 04/02/2019 20:12

Wouldn’t say that top line was faint though .

Yes I am very new to Mumsnet, must be very obvious with how I'm still learning how to post things!

I did a few other tests of a different brand, which also had fainter lines that the control line, but not too dissimilar to the line on the top test. Over the past few months I've had much darker lines on ovulation tests than the ones showing on the photo, which I think is whats throwing me.

It was day 14 of my cycle too. I have very regular and predictable 28 day cycles.

@HOLLY144 I mad the mistake of going off my app and tested only to not get my peak. Turns out I missed my ovulation day. I'd advise you to try and test earlier than what your app says. It is just a guide.

RyvitaBrevis · 04/02/2019 21:09

Well, it's possible that it happened earlier than you were expecting, or that you missed it, or that it's later than usual and hasn't happened yet, or this is an anovulatory cycle. . . . Even the most regular cycles aren't like clockwork all the time.

Are you tracking your CM and using an app that takes that information into account? It does help, if not.

Reason I was asking is because you can’t attach photos when you first join.

I continued to test all week and discovered that I ovulated a week after my predicted date on my app, which made me feel much better. Thank you all for opinions on what you thought was going on!
