if you have ewcm....clear, stringy (sorry if tmi) does this mean you are/are about to ovulate?

I ask because having just come off the pill and still waiting for my period (now would be more or less when I would ovulate if my cycles were nromal) I wondered if this was a sign that all was working as it should?

Yes it does....clear stringy, quite gross, quite normal. Get BDing...

No.. told not to use OPKs as have PCOS. I know because the little egg is now a little bump of 14+2 weeks

Yes better get to it. I get ewcm for about 2 days a cycle, worked for me too as I got a BFP last week

Congratulations to you both! Looks like I'd better get to it then. Do you know if it matters how much ewcm there is (sorry if gross) I've had more in previous cycles, and how long do you get it for...what's the fertile period last for?

My consultant said that you have a three day window from ewcm....seems to be right, because I got bfp last month. MC but this month had LOADS of the stuff. Got DH to get working but he's been so busy at work he's been living in the office. Very cross!

I would agree with the 3 day window but like everything else everyone is different. Best advice is to have sex every 2 days from Day 10 to Day 20 then you have all bases covered so to speak.
