I'm not massive just fatter than I'd like. 5ft3 168lbs would like to be 149lbs.

Losing weight while pregnant isn’t generally recommended, and as you’re only just on the borderline for obese then certainly not in your case. However it may be healthy to gain weight more slowly and aim for a total of around 15lb. Chat with your midwife who can loook at it for your particular circumstances, but losing 20lb during pregnancy when your BMI is 30 to start with is very unlikely to be a good idea.

You can just aim not to put on the max they recommend, but you’ll probably put on something. I haven’t put on anywhere near what they say you should at 32 weeks but not sure if that means I’ve technically lost weight or not. Being healthy and eating well and doing exercise is more important during pregnancy.
