I've been reading a lot of other threads on here and am trying my best to prepare for the roller-coaster of TTC, especially at my age! Just thought it might be nice to start a thread to share experiences and advice with others in a similar situation.

I'm 31. Ttc 1. On my 4th cycle but 2nd cycle using tests and tracking everything. Due af on the 24th . Good luck

Hi @hopeful31 - wishing you lots of luck this month! Awaiting the delivery of some tests, and a bit confused about AF as it's usually a v regular 28 days but my last AF arrived a week early 🤔

Me too! 37 too, ttc since June 2017, had 2 mc last year. Currently in first AF since the most recent mc and will be straight back trying. Good luck everyone

It's really nice to know you're all at the same/similar age. Most of my friends have either had babies by now or have decided not to, and I feel I can't really talk to any of them about this.

I was in a pretty low place about my 35th birthday and TTC, as like you most of my friends have kids. And I’ve wanted one for the past ten years but a failed marriage left me with only a cat!

I recommend that thread to people because it’s the first place where I felt normal for wanting to TTC at an “older” age and it felt good to have people I could be honest around. I had a lot of mixed emotions and I think it helped give me the courage to try again.

Aw @Kescilly congratulations! You must be so happy after everything you went through - don't get me wrong, I have a cat and love her to bits but it's not quite the same 😉

Yeah my friends that had babies all got successful within the first few attempts too so they really dont get what im going through. Tried to talk to them but i think it actually makes them feel awkward so it is good to chat to people on here

Thanks Clara, it still feels too good to be true! My poor cat has had to put up with being babied for many years as a substitute. Hopefully I’ll see you around and you’ll have some success soon!

Hey @Pambo81 I know what you mean! Tbh with some of my friends who have had kids, it also feels like we have drifted apart in recent years. I'm glad we can chat on here 🙂
