Hi all, I'm very new to this - been scrolling around on the site for a little while and finally decided to join.

I came off the pill at the end of November, and have been trying to conceive since, knowing that it can take a while but still hopeful of course! First two periods were pretty normal but this month I started early, it's lasting longer than it normally does and I've had serious cramps and bloating. My periods while on the pill were pretty short in length, i had cramps but these have been different. Hopefully doesn't last much longer so we can keep trying! Also booked in for my next smear - had my first last year but was told needed to have another this year.
Anyone else had similar things after coming off the pill? I thought it would take a few months to get them sorted but not sure if this is normal?

I had almost the same. Long horrible periods for a few months. Now it's settled to very short ones.

Im the same,ended the pill end of November, first real period on january and my period are short but heavy now

Out of interest how long did it take for AF or a withdrawal bleed to turn up? I've been off the pill for a month now with no sign of either but I've had a few days over the last 2 weeks where I have PMS symptoms then they disappear for a few days again. I was very irregular before I went on the pill many years ago and the handful of times I've forgotten to take it I've come on a couple of days later even when I take it as soon as I remember.
It's all very annoying

I took my last pill 25th nov, AF came 29th and it lasted for 3 days.
AF then came 31st jan (remember it being 2 days late as i track on an app) and this time was longer lasting 5 days.
At the moment i'm on day 6 of AF.

@hikari92 my af started 1 month after i stopped taking the pill my af are regularly but shorter then they were before i was on the pill
