This is my first month using opks. I started as soon as period finished and the first few days only got control line as expected. Day 13 got test line but it wasn't quite as dark the control line. Same thing day 14 and now day 15 the test line is definitely fainter but still there. I have had EWCM and timing seems about right but confused why I never got a dark line. How long does it normally stay dark? Wonder if I missed it as I didn't manage to test at the same time each day.

bump does anyone have any advice, should I be doing OPK more than once a day during the relevant time. The packet says to test between 12.00 and 20.00 so I avoided testing outside those times but maybe I should have done.
Today test line was very faint so think if anything happened it's all over now!

I would keep testing- I ovulate quite late so don't get a positive til CD18 and the test line varies hugely in strength until that point. Also, you could have missed the surge - once the test line starts properly darkening I test twice a day to make sure I catch it (although generally I get a good 24 - 48 hours of clear positives). And finally - they are not necessarily accurate! I have read plenty of posts where women never get a positive but still get pregnant. I think temping is a more reliable indication although I've never done that personally. Good luck with ttc.

Hi,
I’ve been using OPKs every day this cycle and I’ve been testing twice a day and 3 times closer to my predicted ovulation date. CD9 was my predicted ovulation date. I’ll send u pics of mine. Going by OPKs I ovulated CD10. If ur urine is too diluted it’ll not come up as strong.
Don’t know if this helps

Thanks for the advice. Katnisskringle I will keep testing but it seems like I got a surge over a few days. Just worried as it didn't go properly dark I might not have ovulated but I suppose I could have missed it.
Broodyaf thanks, can clearly see where it went positive for you. I've been treating mine as positive in case and will try again next month testing more frequently when I think it's likely.
