Hi guys,

Long story short I have secondary infertility issues. I had a cyst removed from my brain 2 years ago and I think this is where all my problems started. I think maybe when they got the cyst out that they may have touched my putuitry gland and it's thrown everything off balance. I recently read up that accupunture can help with fertility issues and I just wondered if anybody had any knowledge on accupunture helping to cure fertility problems or anything? I had my first session yesterday. I must add I am also under clomid which has just been up'd to 100mg. We have been trying for 2 years with no sucess. My cycles are all over the place and I have annovotary cycles hense why I'm on clomid now.

Any help would be greatly recieved.

Thanks in advanced x

Sorry for your troubles OP, it’s so hard Flowers

I love acupuncture and can’t recommend it highly enough. You’ll never be able to prove it works each when you get to where you want to but I feel it’s done a lot for me.

My problem wasn’t getting pregnant but staying pregnant and then after a run of losses I didn’t conceive for ages and started acupuncture to get myself as relaxed as possible and the rest of me in good shape. I was battered by pregnancies and surgery and all of the crap and it got me into a much happier healthier place. I had another mc after I started acu and it was such a different experience, I got over it much much quicker and it didn’t take a fraction of the toll on my general well-being as the previous ones.

I’m pregnant now and have carried on going for sessions and it’s been amazing. I’ve also been well medicated which is no doubt helping! But my consultant is fully on board with me using a holistic approach as well as his hard science (which tbh is still very hit and miss) and it’s definitely kept me level despite the inevitable anxiety of having a much longed for pregnancy.

I always like it but it’s DH who insists I prioritise going even when life is busy, I’m tired and we could use the money for something else, he says it visibly levels me out for a couple of days afterwards, it helps me sleep better, I use the session to get anything I need to off my chest, and it really is brilliant.

It can’t hurt. It might help. While I hope you get your baby soon, looking after yourself and trying something new might do wonders for your general health whatever else happens so I’d give it a good go and just see how you feel Smile
