Ovulation... Help!

Hi everyone, I'm Fiona....

Can someone explain to me something?

Came off pill Dec, had withdrawal bleed.

I started recording temp and using opk. Temp started to go up and opk test came back positive. So I thought hmm... And then I kept doing the opk until it came back neg.

I had no ewcm although maybe I didn't notice it? I think i would though. Since lol made me very dry. Anyway we were using preseed.

Had first ever AF on Sunday. It wasn't as heavy as I remember but obvs my body hadn't gone back to normal straight away.

Anyway, did an opk test on CD 3 because u thought might as well stay testing at some point early just to see exactly what happens during a cycle.

It came back positive. Well the line isn't as dark as the control but it was pretty dark. Three days now it has been the same.

My period officially ended yesterday on cd4.

My temp has gone down with period and not gone up yet...

So err, what? I'm worried this is some dire warning of fertility problems or something wrong with ovaries.

I can't be ovulating before my period has even completely finished? My period was.. Kinda gungy rather than bloody. Like a lot of mucas. But then started using a cup and never experienced my period in the form of liquid before. Usually just got absorbed! But I don't remember it being stringy when I wiped.

Is this false? Are the tests not working, can you have alh surge and not be ovulating? am I ov early? My periods were never far apart from what I remember. It was 14 years ago I had one.

I know your body takes a while to adjust to normal, it's this just it?

Brain won't stop thinking. And we haven't even been ttc a full month.

Sorry for typos, on phone.

Hi. You've really gone all guns blazing! Welcome to the crazy world of TTC! Don't be stressed at all, everything you've explained is totally normal. You can have a LH surge around your period as well as when you ovulated so nothing abnormal there. When you've been temping a little longer and you get to know your cycle you can quit the Opk's, they don't tell you anything temping doesn't tell you! Plus OPK's can only tell you if your body tried to ovulate, where as temping confirms it did. What app are you using? Try to just go with your body and learn at the moment, I know it's hard but stressing yourself out this early on is going to make for a very rough journey. And if in doubt, just have loads of sex! Are u maybe pregnant, a positive opk can sometimes indicate pregnancy I think and you said your AF wasn’t normal.

My period was not is usual awful self, but it was a definite period. I filled up one towel at night but my first day on was light and... clear and goopy kinda... Well egg whitey material. Though as I say this might be normal? I was 19 at my last actual period. I only used San towels, not as if I really studied the make up of my period.

Also I tested and it said neg. Sad

@mseddy I am using femometer which is linked to the thermometer I bought. My trouble with it is that you are supposed to have min 3 hours sleep and lately I've been getting 2 hrs, wake up toss around, go back to sleep... (this is normal on and off, also my other half is noisy).

My boyfriend is also quite fed up of me blathering on about ovulation. I'm sure my eternal worrying is a right turn off, but I can't help it! I expected it to behave "normally"

We're taking a day of bd cos we're too tired and I'm stressed that we are eating an opportunity...

I feel myself stressing too much already. I need to stop! I need to believe I'll be OK. My main worry is honestly my period and how I'm going to work with it. (it used to be heavy and hugely uncomfortable).

I feel I could be more patient if my period was better, but i work in an environment where I can't always go to the toilet whenever I need. And I could fill a pad in an hour or two for two days.
